Wow. There isn't even anything on the FSU website.

I wouldn't expect a big class. There were only 5 seniors this year. Whoever comes in needs to put the puck in the net. This crap about 10 goals leading the team is ridiculous.

It doesn't look like either of these two have been causing major power outages from lighting the lamp too much.
      Hopefully that changes.

          Re: Ferris State Recruiting Class

Ouellette put up numbers the season before. He doesn't have a choice, given his size. It's either change the scoreboard or sit in the press box in a suit. If you're 5-8 & 165, you're not doing too much else.

Something just occured to me. Find something wrong with this sentence:

In the 2007-08 campaign, Ouellette totaled a league second-most 110 points on 42 goals and 74 assists in 32 contests as a member of the Western Ontario Hockey League's (WOHL) Tecumseh (Ontario) Chiefs.
How the hell do you score 110 points on 42 goals and 74 assists? In 32 games? That's almost 3.5 PPG. Uhhhh, no, especially when it's followed by this:

The forward's 74 points on the season ranked second highest on the squad as did his 32 tallies and 42 helpers.
74 points in 32 games: 2.31 PPG. More reasonable.

As for the other one, I got the feeling he's going to be a Bob Daniels Special: 12 points a season with a ridiculous amount of time spent in the box.

No, I actually pointed out a couple of things. That 42 and 74 does not add up to 110, and that he didn't have 74 assists in that season, especially in 32 games.

                See?

I still want to read more about the other recruits...

Brett Smith leaves...Justin Lewandowski shows up. Lewandowski leaves Ouellette shows up. Daniels needs his token short guy.

I should have said Brendan Connolly instead of Justin Lewandowski.

Allow me to explain more clearly.

                          Brett Smith is 5' 8"
when he left, Brendan Connolly began playing hockey for Ferris.

I was making a statement about Bob Daniels' need for a 'short guy' on the team.

Ahhh I get it now. Yea. Did Brett Smith get 109 Penalty Minutes in 35 games like Brendan Connolly did for Ferris?

Guys, that's exactly the kind of thing I'm talking about when I go on one of my numerous rants regarding Ferris hockey. That lack of discipline has a direct effect on their win/loss record and the standings.

And yes, for the record, I saw Brett Smith do some stupid things on the ice, including drive a NMU player into the bench door while it was open in the '03 CCHA semi.
