Need not go to far out on a limb to predict that Abby Murphy will make a big impact on the Gophers' fortunes when she arrives in 2020-21. Never want to put too much reliance on a freshman, but she could be something special

Ha, Nope no pressure there.

Baldwin Joins Coaching Staff at St. Kate's

"Baldwin is the latest Gopher alum to move to the coaching ranks, joining recent alumnae Jackie Pieper (Chaska High School girls head coach), Taylor Williamson (Wayzata High School girls co-head coach), Paige Haley (Northfield High School girls head coach), and Mira Jalosuo (Stillwater Area High School girls head coach)."

Straight out of college to Co-Head Coach. Impressive.

Straight out of college to Co-Head Coach. Impressive. As a comparison of a slightly different path, Sam Reber spent one year at UMD as an assistant to Maura Crowell after graduating from Harvard, then was hired as head coach at Edina HS, where her team won state titles in each of her first three seasons there. Yes, she inherited a ton of talent, but Edina had never won a girls title prior to Reber's arrival.

I guess that my point is that by the time these women graduate from college, they have learned so much from all of their coaches along the way that they don't need much more experience in order to be successful at the prep level.

Congrats to former Gopher Krissy Wendell on her induction into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame.

Maybe this belongs in a season thread, but anyway, here is a breakdown of the blue line:
