  • Re: RPI Recruit Thread 2018-19 (Part II)

The beginning of a report on the pay site amateurhockeyreport.com
Babich is a team captain and a player who has good skill and works hard each shift. He moves the puck well and gets after it in the dirty areas of the ice.

At least the confusion between Babich and Babichuk should be at most 2 years.

Someone thinks that Alexander Babich has a chance to make the USNTDP. https://hfboards.mandatory.com/threa...-team.2570097/ I doubt it, but ...

        Alexander Babich - Chicago Mission U15 - March 13, 2003 - Forward - 2021 Draft
Tied for 2nd leading scorer on Mission and in the HPHL with Burnside . Uncommitted but it’s unknown if he intends to commit or if he wants to play in the NCAA. Pure playmaker, should shoot more though. Defiantly a contender for the program, but Burnside and Devine are the real locks for the team. There is a drop off after Devine and Burnside, but Babich and the next few are still real good players.

Our third recruit with ties to the Chicago Mission since Smith got here (Dubinsky, Itagaki, Babich). His tweet indicates it’s Dan Jewell who took the lead on his recruitment.

Elite Prospects now lists AB as a 2021 recruit. OTON Chris Heisenberg has him as a 2022. I will leave it as 2022.
CH lists him as playing for Mission 16U, That's for next year unless he goes elsewhere.

Assuming that you only mean for the men's team. 2020 women's recruit Ellie Kaiser plays for the female 16U team.

Babich and Dubinsky follow each other on Twitter.

I did, as I doubt Smith's staff had much to do with recruiting Ellie

However, I'm still wrong, Dylan Davies played for the Mission last year, so it's actually four recruits with ties for the men's team!

                      Still borderline D-I.
