Huge rally down 3-0 and 4-1 to earn the 4-4 tie. Probably should have won, had a bunch of chances for a winner but couldn't get it, but you definitely aren't going to win many games giving up the first 3 and four of the first 5 goals of the game.
Frustrating to get the tie, but they played great after the 1st period debacle and it didn't massacre their PWR since UConn isn't dogcrap this year. We'll take the tie and move on.
TTT do you notice how when any team, BC-Minnesota-Wisconsin (mentioned as I use them as the top "team concept "teams), even they break down and revert to the individual player carrying the puck too much, thinking they can make the difference/play? Obviously I have......
Harvard takes a checking penalty with 1:50 to go.
Clarkson ties it on the PP with :50 to go.
Hopefully it was a legit penalty!
Going to OT
Ends in a 2-2 draw. Bummer for Clarkson.

Goal 1, 33 seconds later Goal 2, 20 seconds later Goal 3, 38 seconds later Goal 4. All four in 1:31.
I was going by what the announcer said (or what I thought I heard him say) as the 1st period ended. Anyway, the 3rd is about to get underway, with the Gophers holding a 5-1 lead. Shots are 22-7.
Consolation - BU and Harvard tie 6-6
Championship - BC over Northeastern 2-1
I happened to watch the last half of the 3rd period. I was surprised to see the Huskies leading at that point 1-0, but no more than a minute later BC scored to tie it at 1-1. They then score on a power play just a couple of minutes later to go ahead 2-1. Northeastern appeared to tie it in the waning minutes, but the referee apparently lost sight of the puck in a goal mouth scramble and blew his whistle, negating the tying goal.

On BC's winning goal it appeared that Northeastern's goalie (Bugalski) was screened by her defenseman (Heather Mottau) and didn't see the puck until it was too late. Otherwise it's almost certainly a pretty routine save, as it was a semi-soft wrist shot taken from a ways out, at a fairly wide angle. Shortly thereafter Mottau took the penalty (which was questionable, IMO) that resulted in the Eagles scoring the winning goal. So it was a rough couple of minutes for Mottau, who in the opinion of the announcer is Northeastern's best defenseman.

That could be true but man, it was a soft goal. That puck floated for what felt like an eternity...
