Game recap from the Valley News (http://www.vnews.com/Dartmouth-men-s-hockey-vs-Lowell-or-Colgate-7152554).

Warning - open the above link at your own risk as there are photos of Dartmouth's third jersey they wore that gave several of us headaches. Actually worse on the eyes than the Notre Dame gold hockey helmets. A Dartmouth season ticket holder I was chatting with said they looked like a bunch of skating convicts in old timey prison uniforms.

Dartmouth coach was very impressed with Lowell.

if it were up to me I'd wear white against that... too much dark on dark otherwise

For what is is worth; this was my take on the game and your team that I posted on the Ledyard Tourny thread:

e: 2016 Ledyard Classic Hosted By Dartmouth / U Mass-Lowell / Army / Colgate
A BIG congrats to U Mass Lowell for winning the Ledyard Classic. They were the best we have played all year. Their spacing and finding open ice were tremendous as it led to many weak-side one-timer goals which included a couple of beautiful bar-down goals. I don't think I recall seeing as many lefties as they have in their lineup but they sure are good. IMHO CJ Smith was the best player on the ice exhibiting skill and patience with the puck. While U Mass was the better team the Big Green battled and almost tied it up right in near high slot with about a minute to go but the goalie made a great left pad save. From there U Mass tallies two empty-netters to ice the game

Gambardella for Hobey!

Seriously, he has to get some consideration. Currently sits tied for sixth in nation in scoring with 10-20-30 numbers and is a force every time he hits the ice. Will be interesting to see how the Hobey process proceeds down the road.

Joe is the Hockey East player of the week. Well deserved!

I hope he keeps it up. It would be nice for him to at least make the first list of 10 Hobey finalists.

His stats were updated with an added assist from the weekend (2-5-7) giving him a total of 10-21-31 which puts him 7th in the nation in scoring. The 21 assists tie him for first in that category.

A good job by the Hawks of taking care of business tonight against RPI. Time to get some rest after 6 days on the road with 3 games in 5 nights. Big game at UNH Friday night.

Game time from the Whittemore Center in Durham, N.H. is 6 p.m. The game will be televised nationally on American Sports Network and regionally on New England Sports Network (NESN).

They've done well the past several games since the UConn loss and tie, beating the teams they should and need to. Heading into this stretch I was nervous given Lowell's tendency to blow the games against lesser competition but they came through with flying colors. Losing these sorts of games have hurt them in the past so very happy with the team's performance over the past few weeks.

UNH is a huge game as although the Wildcats are just 9-7-2 (35th in Pairwise), they sit in third place in Hockey East at 5-1-1 and only two points behind Lowell. Need the win to keep UNH from gaining and also keep pace and hopefully close the four point gap with first place BC. Haven't been to UNH in some time so looking forward to heading up there Friday afternoon.

UNH also has three games in hand on Lowell. So if they were to win Friday, they'd be tied in points, but have three games in hand still. Ouch.

The first round bye isn't going to be easy this year. Outside of BC, very little separation amongst 6 teams with only three points separating them. And all have at least one game in hand on Lowell, making this game even more vital.

Another team that's behind us that is scary ... BU wins 5-4 in OT, coming back to beat #10 Union at home. This all while 7 BU players are playing in the World Junior Finals tonight (and three have scored a goal so far).

Yikes.

They were far and away the pre-season favorite so I won't be surprised if they go on a huge run now. What I find most surprising is how wrong the prognosticators were about BC. Apparently this is BC's best Hockey East record to start a season ever. Given all of their success, that's amazing.

Heading up in a little while. Haven't been up there in years, not like the old days when UNH fans would bang the place out and would have to go to Lowell and turn Tsongas into UNH south.

I'll be watching on tv as I can't make it to UNH for 6:00 pm. Hopefully the Hawks are rested and ready to go. This will be their 4th game in 8 days. UNH has played a single game since returning from the break.
