Although I respect opposing opinions on this thread I still believe maintaining and growing the QU/Yale rivalry is of paramount importance. The bottom line is that it is an honor to compete with Yale in meaningful hockey games (and other sports).
It does not matter if Allain does not want to admit it is a rivalry or even say the name "Quinnipiac" for whatever reason (e.g., he thinks we are inferior, he has nothing to gain, etc). The only thing that matters is that there is an amazing hockey rivalry between QU and Yale and everyone knows about it. It is an honor to become part of Yale's storied history and culture. Our association with the Ivys has advanced our academic standing and will continue to do so until we are the second best university in Connecticut.
