Well agreed, but I have a good source that says that Danton Cole is first in line for the MSU job.
Saw Danton's team in Muskegon last Friday night. I was thinking that as well.

That was also the case the last time.

Funny story - trustee Brian Breslin, who was scheduled to speak at the announcement of the new head coach the last time, had the name "Danton Cole" in his speech before he was corrected prior to the unveiling. That's what kind of a head scratcher it was even on the day it happened.

What coaches are in trouble?

Answer:
SELECT [Head Coach]
FROM D1
WHERE
ProgramTrend = 'Steadily Declining' AND
[Athletic Director] <> 'Mark Hollis'

Wondering how likely your former HC will be behind MSU's bench in a year or two :)

I saw Danton that summer (he owned a house down here then and I think still does). I asked him about it, and he really didn't have any words for the situation. I'd be happy to see him in a high-profile gig. He's a good coach, is good with the community and boosters, and really enjoys the game. I expect that he'd bring Chris Luongo with him.
