Too bad the season is 6 months long.

someone should tell Madigan that it doesnt start at Christmas break when it seems NU always gets going. Good to see Huskies playing well though

Criticism where criticism was due: Madigan and the team's extremely slow start. Credit where credit is due: keeping the team motivated and focused on improving every game, to the point they're playing good team hockey with confidence. I watch hockey but don't know the x's and o's as well as others - however, I always get the feeling that Madigan knows how to manage the mindset of a team. Missing Roy and Hedges for so long hasn't felt like an excuse - it made other guys raise their play. All that hustling, all those shots that were created but didn't go in earlier in the season, it's coalescing now into results. Keep it going, Dogs.

This is commendable and uplifting when applied over the course of a single season. But when applied to every season, it's actually a crueler, more frustrating fate for the fans and players than completely bottoming out for the entire season, because it ensures that the coach will not be let go. He coaches just good enough to not be fired and just bad enough to never win the Beanpot or the conference, or make the NCAAs. It's like being condemned to a purgatory of mediocrity. Please, hockey gods, let us into hell already, so we can start over.

this is so true. until we do not win something.. this is true.. & well put.

We just have to cheer on the team now and hope (wish) that whatever is getting them going.. is good enough to get them (and the program) some meaningful wins. Let's go Huskies! Keep it up

Tough to swallow again, team has gotten themselves to #26 in PWR after being in the 50's. I know that a at large bid is out the door unless something historicx happens here, but we can now all look back on 2 losses to Bentley and wonder what if.

WRBB got interviews with Madigan, Kevin Roy and Mike McMurtry at Beanpot Media Day today. Roy one is especially interesting, talks about his frustrating start to the season, coming back off of injury and more.
