Found a goalie for next year. Chase Perry. Was at CC last year. NHL draft pick.

That is most interesting. I was just wondering who the next goalie will be.

Hockey's Future http://www.hockeysfuture.com/prospects/chase-perry/

A lot of stuff there including

Talent Analysis

Perry has a large frame that allows him to naturally cover a good deal of the net but his athleticism is what really shines. He is nimble and sticks with a play no matter how many shots he faces. Like most young goaltenders he needs to improve his technical skills.

Future

Perry completed his first season of college hockey at Colorado College in 2014-15. Projecting a ceiling for young goaltenders is difficult, especially when they have played at relatively low levels of hockey. Long-term Perry's tools and skill set suggest he has professional potential one day. How he develops over his next three seasons of college hockey will give a better indication of his true potential.

More interesting stuff about Perry from 2014 http://thehockeywriters.com/chase-perry-the-next-ones-2014-nhl-draft-prospect-profile/ including quotes from The Hockey News and NHL.com.

BTW, for those who don't know, the Wenatchee Wild was in the NAHL until this season. Now it is in the BCHL.

I hadn't thought about that, but I agree. :)

Edit: BTW, his given name is apparently Thomas.

A short (2:46) video interview with Perry at the time of the 2014 NHL combine. http://cms.springboardplatform.com/previews/73/video/960111/0/0/1

He mentions all of the traveling that Wenatchee had to do in the NAHL which is the reason that the BCHL is somewhat better for them geographically.

Edit: a video of his saves and goals against in two games in 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GbOOQbKYqk.

Chris Heisenberg rated Perry above Harvard's Merrick Madsen two years ago https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1HxwwIWXkkRPPguPaYvEOVL6aOEH309LoiKhUT9Qf6u8/pub#. :D (Go to the NAHL page.)

(not that that is a very meaningful ranking)

That is most interesting. I was just wondering who the next goalie will be.Good guess on my part way back when eh RB ;) One other thing that I liked about him back then is the fact hes drafted by Detroit & SAs good buddy is now their HC. No worries about him leaving for MJs. Theyll trust him to develop under SA.

I would say it was a good guess if you didn't suggest about a dozen other goalies also. :p
