Via Twitter, commit from Neil Shea who is Pat Shea's younger brother. He's a '99 and a USHL guy so probably 3-4 years out?

Maine Hockey: I want to believe
      43-21-4 (.662) in games I attended over 4 years as a student
      104-47-14 (.669) in that time
      3x FROZEN FOUR

11-20-2 in games I've attended since. (2-2-1 under Red)

PC gets lots of respect even though Gillies is gone? Lowell will be up there, BC, BU and then a bunch of teams. I see Maine in 8th or 9th. Goalies will be better, everything else who knows. I didn't see the team buying into Reds systems last year so I'll wait and see if they do this year. Should be interesting to see if all the big guys can skate, not just fast but whether or not they have a good first step or are they always playing catch up?
I swear there ain't no heaven but I pray there ain't no hell.

Providence is the defending national champions. Enough said.

I can see Maine in 5th or 6th if they buy into the system. This is an important year for Red and Co. Another losing season and diehards/season ticket holders are just going to get more restless and impatient. JMO.

Optimistic about Maine last year. Given that they made 0 progress and lost Shore and Hutton, I see no reason to expect anything but a bottom 4 finish.

I got Harvard in the Frozen Four. Might be the best team in New England.

I don't think Maine was as bad as their record indicated. They shot themselves in the foot with how the Alaska trip was planned then blew a bunch of close games. The one encouraging thing for me was that the team played hard for the most part and never got blown out. I thought the freshmen overall played well too(although Pecararo was obviously a huge disappointment).

One encouraging thing is that the rest of hockey east isn't that great either. I think Maine finishes somewhere between sixth and tenth.

There isn't that one team that is going to dominate and run away with it. Maine tends to play up to the Boston schools and other contenders, so if they can figure out how to get two points in some of those games, they'll shock some people.

Somewhere between 10th and 12th. And boring.

Maine will suck again this year. Why won't they? No matter how much any team buys into a system, you still need good players and we are not getting them. Their new recruits are not eye popping, their goaltending remains mediocre, and they lost their two best players. They will finish 10-12th, agreed.
