I asked him specifically about Stillwell and Berkovitz as others have indicated Sandberg and Vance are not coming to UW. I'd have to guess Berkovitz won't be coming at all.

No offense to any of the names (or an Astren), but UW returning to a higher level of Dman play is long overdue. There was a time recently, where every dman in our lineup moved on and played a shift in the NHL and all were 1st or 2nd round draft picks (except for Ramage who was a 4th rounder). While that 2010 team is unprecedented and will unlikely never be replicated, with Oz on the recruiting trail I expect closer to that 2009-10 group then last season grouping.

We've gone:
McDonagh-Gardiner-Brendan Smith-Schultz-Goloubef-Ramage
Schultz-Gardiner-Ramage-Simonelli-Little-Johnson
Schultz-Simonelli-McCabe-Ramage-Little-Faust-Springer
McCabe-Ramage-Simonelli-Little-Schulze-Wittchow-Faust
McCabe-Simonelli-Schulze-Faust-Drake-Wittchow
Dougherty-Wittchow-Schulze-Davison-Linhart-Drake-Ford
Linhart-Davision-Schulze-Wittchow-Bunz-Tischke-Sexton

or basically from having 6 dmen talented enough to eventually skate in the NHL to 3-4 for a couple years while that group matriculated through the program, to last years group where I don't see a single guy skating in the NHL.

Stop being so negative. It will be replicated. Every year. Get used to it. Love it. Embrace it.

Berkovitz has been trending in the wrong direction for a long time. Sioux City gave him away to Green Bay for free just to get him out of town he was so bad there. Just hasn't progressed to the level where he can play Big Ten hockey (no matter how bad the conference may be).

K'Andre Miller commits to the Badgers

With him being a U17 this next season, I have him penciled in on the spreadsheet as a '18-'19

tDon asleep at the wheel. Again. ;) No one can resist those searing blue eyes of OZ. NO ONE. It is hopeless to resist. I love what TG said at the press conference when asked about losing guys to early departures....."We'll just get more" (paraphrasing).

Bring it B7. Bring it all conferences. We're a comin and you aren't a stoppin us (name that actor).

Wonder if this has any bearing on Emberson's decision-making process (good or bad)?

Great news, the turnaround is going to happen quickly.

As a great Emperor once stated, "You'd better get your season tickets now because before long, you might not be able to." It's beginning to look very good!

I must say it feels damm good to blow more than a little hot air instead of being so freaking downtrodden and depressed about the men's program. Had I not fallen in love with the women's program I would have lost my mind. It's a whole lot funner being :) than :(.

Bucky has some of its snarl back, and that might make this whole fight more entertaining, but we'll welcome you back when you are back. Right now, you're just making some of us start to feel that old pizzed off feeling.

Heard the Badgers are recruiting Aidan Fulp from a family source. Plays for the Chicago Fury U16 and plays right defense (RHD). No clue if that's been said or not in here.

Edit: Has an offer from UW.

I assume Motzko knows he has to make Kunin Captain to win Gold.

Badger recruits Mick Messner and Tyler Inamoto both named to the US Select U-18 roster. Will be playing in the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup August 8th -13th in Czech (Republic) and Slovakia for those that want to pop over and watch. Sadly, Team USA has but 1 Gold ('03) to Canada's 20 in this tournament

Downright embarrassing is what it is. Perhaps the GM (s) didn't/don't have a very good eye for talent on the US side.

While the US has dominated the IIHF sanctioned U18 World Championship with 9 golds to Canada's 3, Canadians will tell you that it's because many of their best players are playing in various CHL playoffs and unavailable in April when that tournament is held. Which is pretty much entirely true. The Ivan Hlinka is the only time Canada's very best U-18's all play together.

TJ Koufis has just committed to Wisconsin for 2020-21. Good grief... I'm going to have to redesign the spreadsheet.
