I've seen a pamphlet from USAHA stating that players must attend their District Tryouts to be eligible for either the U18 Select 66 camp in Maine or the U18 camp in St. Cloud. I'm not sure how this can be truly implemented though considering the following District Camps haven't even occured yet (dates from USHA pamphlet):
- Northern Plains (Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota & Wyoming): April 30 - May 2nd
- New York: May 15-17
- Pacific (Alaska, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon & Washington): June 13-18
- Rocky Mountain (Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas & Utah): June 13-18
Considering the U18 Select camp starts on June 27th I can't imagine that they could wait until June 18th to send invites?

It certainly is a disadvantage for the later district camp participants. I'm assuming that since only 66 players are invited to the Select 18 camp on June 27th, it is probably largely determined well before the later district camps and players from those areas are probably told in advance so that they can make their travel arrangements. The district camp is probably a formality for those players.
My understanding is that USAHA has been scouting players all season and has a 'list', so I agree that, in reality, the District tryouts are really just a formality. Will be interesting to see how this is actually implemented.

Looks like the 98s will be employing the "Reverse Flying Wedge" where one of their 3 forwards heads down ice, the D zone protected by 4 of their 8 defenders.

Might be the best strategy when you're playing without a goaltender!

Sylvie can play up. She did it the State finals in '14. ;-)
Any update on picks? Seems like it is getting close yet no announcement of nay sort. I know my daughter is not making it, but I would love to see who did.
