Interviews start Monday, who do you think MSU Mankato will hire as their new coach (Not necessarily the person you think they should hire):

No Freddy Meyer?

I think it's a close battle between Fryklund and Harrington. The deciding factor may come down to experience. If Amber had been a college head coach, I would have no problem with her getting it. Coach Harrington has the college head coaching experience, just not on the women's side. Either way they should be able to have a better chance recruiting than past Maverick coaches. Verizon Center is a lot better facility than All Seasons. That will be their permanent home instead of going back and forth.

I voted on who I think will get it not who I'd like to see. Still, its going to be interesting

I was hoping they'd hire Maribel Craswell, but UMD beat them to it

I shouldn't do this, I already feel like a 12 year old just thinking it, but....Who's Maribel Craswell? I thought her name was Moliver Cromwell.

Hey as long as her last name isn't Handrahan or Seeley.

I was very Mutch surprised at that omission by shelfit.

I guess there is a small STACK of former coaches piling up.

Mutch's situation was quite different in that she pursued him from the time she was a recruit because she thought he was cute or something ridiculous like that. He married a former player from the 98 Olympic team as well. He was an assistant coach for that team.

Interviews have concluded. Poll closes tomorrow. Again, I think Schuler is the best option. Schuler or Fryklund would be the first female head coach in MSU Women's Hockey history.

Well there is certainly something ridiculous about your post, no doubt about that.

Unfortunately, my post was not ridiculous. I wish I could say it was. It's the sad truth.

Come on, folks, she needs two more votes to pull ahead of "Who cares?"

There is what you think you know, and there is the truth. I suggest you drop the subject.

I'm not looking for an argument and I don't need to argue this any further. I'll drop it for your benefit.

So, do we think that all 3 candidates turned the job down? I mean, its been a week and a half since the interviews ended. They've picked popes in less time than this...

I was thinking the same thing just yesterday that maybe none of the 3 finalists wanted the job. Must have been that highly influential poll they saw on uscho.com. Maybe that Who Cares guy will take the job after all.

They may have reconsidered the position after cell phone use and University Regulatory policies were discussed
