Crushing loss for UAH. Expect Tech to blow them out tomorrow.

          • Epic memories! That UAH goalie is a stud. Congrats to both on the game.

Carmine Guerrero set the new WCHA record for saves in a game with 76, breaking the mark set by Wisconsin's Kirk Daubenspeck with 75 on 8 March 2007 vs Colorado College.

This was the 7th longest game in college hockey history, and the 2nd longest in WCHA history at 118:49.

All that, a .987 save percentage...and the loss. That's something you don't see every day.

MTU Hockey fan since I was carried to a game in 1986 - for those counting... that's a lot of depressing hockey. Still love it.

All that and he only got second star. Apparently the first star is sponsored and they vetoed it.

HE STOPPED 76 OF 77 SHOTS AGAINST THE HIGHEST SCORING OFFENSE IN THE NCAA. PAY THAT MAN HIS MONEY.

And yet, the most amazing part of that post is still that Michigan Tech has the highest scoring offense in the NCAA.

He lowered his GAA in the building this season from 6.35 to about 3.32 in one night.

I saw it immediately and knew three things:

                                1. That was a CFB 5+GM.
                                2. That was his third game misconduct on the season.
                                3. The NCAA will automatically suspend him one game based on that per Rule 22.2.

That game was completely unexpected, unbelievably appreciated, and ... ****.
