It seems some, besides myself (http://nyshistoricnewspapers.org/lccn/np00010003/1984-03-01/ed-1/seq-7.pdf), have enjoyed the historical reading articles, I linked to, so without more ado and not to overly hijack other threads, here are some more.

I've posted articles relating to players who post to this forum (bakdraft21 - aka Peter Wasserman and Greatlaker11 - aka Brian Statfeld) so they can add some color.

If anyone else from any team or era would like to be step up and suggest potential articles, just make the suggestion and I'll see what I can find.

Nice job Norm,#5 in your program#1 in your heart:D..Called my parents at 3 am when we got back from Hamilton ,they thought I had got arrested when the phone rang..Notice who the goal was scored on.....Guy hebert, who went on to play on the USA Olympic team and many yrs in the NHL we peppered him with many shots that games and he was a stone wall,my friend on hamilton scored the tying goal harry mcabe as well...........p.s.it was a seeing eye shot from the point that barely made it over the goaline....ps Thanks Norm never saw that article, printed it and added to scrapbook,I owe ya a beer or pretzel:p

You're welcome. ;) (http://www.fultonhistory.com/Process%20small/Newspapers/Oswego%20Palladium/Oswego%20Palladium%20May-June%201986%20pdf/Newspaper%20%20Oswego%20Palladium%20May-June%201986%20-%200697.pdf)

Prefer to play forward (http://fultonhistory.com/Process%20Small/Newspapers/Oswego%20Palladium/Oswego%20Palladium%20Sept-Oct%201985%20pdf/Newspaper%20%20Oswego%20Palladium%20Sept-Oct%201985%20-%200785.pdf#xml=http://fultonhistory.com/dtSearch/dtisapi6.dll?cmd=getpdfhits&u=40425e44&DocId=9291453&Index=Z%3a%5cIndex%20O%2dG%2dT%2dS&HitCount=4&hits=152+153+32c+bee+&SearchForm=C%3a%5cinetpub%5cwwwroot%5cFulton%5fNew %5fform%2ehtml&.pdf)

I think I remember who you are. Pete Wasserman, right. You played with McFall and Mueller. I was thinking of Jim Kelly, not Pat Kelly at goalie. Jim played long before you were there.
You still in NY?

Pete who? (http://fultonhistory.com/Process%20Small/Newspapers/Oswego%20Palladium/Oswego%20Palladium%20Nov-Dec%201985%20pdf/Newspaper%20%20Oswego%20Palladium%20Nov-Dec%201985%20-%200617.pdf)

Peter Wasserman got his first collegiate goal at 8:11 unassisted. (http://fultonhistory.com/Process%20Small/Newspapers/Oswego%20Palladium/Oswego%20Palladium%20Nov-Dec%201984%20pdf/Newspaper%20%20Oswego%20Palladium%20Nov-Dec%201984%20-%200468.pdf)

Great links Norm..Thanks funny stuff when you read it now....18-2 we beat Hobart, and I think we beat Cortland in my time 20-1....NO CLASS:p

You were a standout defensemen (http://fultonhistory.com/Process%20Small/Newspapers/Oswego%20Palladium/Oswego%20Palladium%20Sept-Oct%201987%20pdf/Newspaper%20%20Oswego%20Palladium%20Sept-Oct%201987%20-%200348.pdf).

Who did got off at least one shot. (http://fultonhistory.com/Process%20Small/Newspapers/Oswego%20Palladium/Oswego%20Palladium%20March-April%201987%20pdf/Newspaper%20%20Oswego%20Palladium%20March-April%201987%20-%200217.pdf) ;)

Ok the suspense is only killing me so I'm listed as scoring the 18th goal in that Fulton article regarding the Hobart win.

#11 (aka #21) (1984-88) is from Massapequa, NY (http://fultonhistory.com/Process%20Small/Newspapers/Oswego%20Palladium/Oswego%20Palladium%20May-June%201986%20pdf/Newspaper%20%20Oswego%20Palladium%20May-June%201986%20-%200386.pdf)

I'm only a legend in my own mind. I enjoy all the info you and everyone else posts here. It's by far the best board with the most intelligent hockey people out there.

You have been known to get things started. (http://fultonhistory.com/Process%20Small/Newspapers/Oswego%20Palladium/Oswego%20Palladium%20Nov-Dec%201987%20pdf/Newspaper%20%20Oswego%20Palladium%20Nov-Dec%201987%20-%200107.pdf)

LakerEagleLover, I may work for the NSA so the need for the top secrecy. LOL. Norm1909, its a good thing I have no ego. Lost it years ago. I see Mike Catuosco twice a week as we coach separate age groups for the same youth hockey organization. Also run into Matt Dickson, another LIer. Emailed Catuosco today as well, and lived with #12 Joe Albano my senior year, his junior year on Bridge Street with a few other non hockey players. We actually played on a line together for a long stint. Played in whats listed as 99 games during 84-88. Funny, no shortage of Oswego Minor Hockey people remembered me this year and last during my visit there for a youth hockey tournament. Pat Kelly was a Long Islander from that generation and there were a few others who came for one year. Anyway, back to being stealth and incognito.

I seen - :p

It will be exciting for Cardinal fans to see some of the 1986-1987 championship team present at Friday night's hockey game. Got out my old book to see who might be here. Yeo have to have been around awhile, like me, to remember those winning days. They were something! Some of the Oswego former players will remember it well.

That they might. (http://nyshistoricnewspapers.org/lccn/np00010011/1987-03-26/ed-1/seq-24.pdf)

The 33 wins was before the Championship win - and it (Plattsburgh St. (34-6-0, .850) is a record - which Wis.-Stevens Point (34-5-2, .854) tied in 1989. (http://fs.ncaa.org/Docs/stats/m_icehockey_rb/2015/MIH_DIII.pdf)
