On 1/16 Chambers reported Cowley's the one. (see post 18 for link)
After last night's game he reversed himself and proclaimed Jaillet is @1.

I guess reality slaps everyone across the head eventually...can't maintain any sort of argument against an on-fire goaltender with currently deserved recognition...

Nolan Zajac has the #4 Goal in the NCHC's Top 5 Goals.
Trevor Moore's goal against Dartmouth was #5 a couple of weeks ago.

Conference leader UNO, 29 points, is idle. And UMD, 25 points, is playing out of conference
Since #2 North Dakota is facing cc, it is reasonable to assume that they will increase their 22 points and could pass UMD in the standings, unless cc manages to get 3 or more points

Pios do have 1 game in hand, but it would take a 5 or 6 point weekend, on the road, to pass Miami in the conference standings.

Nice story about the Shore brothers before te Kings-Flames game. And why Drew has yet to play a 2nd game with the Flames.

There’s also the issue with Shore’s contract. He becomes waiver-eligible after one more NHL game, meaning that if the Flames wanted to send him down to the Adirondack Flames, he’d have to clear waivers. (And the feeling is he’d be picked up off of waivers and they’d lose their asset).

Just more or less announced/confirmed - 2016 NHL Winter Classic to be held in Denver. Avs to host the Red Wings (from Detroit). Either Coors Field or Folsom Field. What if.....what if there's an NCAA game the day before? Denver - CC? Denver-North Dakota? Let the rumors begin

Winter Classic on New Years Day will be Montreal at Boston in Foxboro, MA. There will be two Stadium Series games later in the season with AVs hosting Red Wings, second game will be Chicago at MN Wild. Official announcement will come during All Star Weekend.

The Wings are from Michigan, why not an out of conference with Michigan?

Oh heck yeah. I Would love to see DU play Michigan or Michigan State......anytime. Outdoors, I think CC or UND would draw the largest crowd, with maybe an all-day winter carnival type of atmosphere. I hope something like that happens, not just the 1 NHL game.

It is rare that only the NHL game is played. Most times there are junior, high school, minor league or college games played.

Please no! It's gotta be UND if the scheduling permits, or possibly CC. The MSU and uMich alumni clubs here are absolutely huge, but there's no rivalry value. If maximizing attendance is the goal, MSU, NoDak, Mich, CC would be the best, in order. But for the purposes of a great game and experience, it should be NoDak. Also, noncon series are usually worked out a year or two in advance, so it may not even be possible to get a noncon team here in Februrary (or whenever the game would be).
