I don't think Norwich has shown to be worthy of the #3 ranking in the country, or anything close for that matter.

Norwich as well as the top 5 as a whole have found a way to win the games....This early I think that is the sign of a good team. 3-8 could be in any order at this time..but they are the teams that appear they should be there!

Would it be so bad if we did? Hard to hold it against a team for not playing any games yet.

Plattsburgh beat a ranked team in Geneseo, that puts them at #3 in my book. Who has Norwich beaten of any consequence yet? Nothing against Norwich, just Plattsburgh should be higher until Norwich gets tested.

If I had a vote Norwich would be outside the top 10. This team is very young. We'll see what happens this weekend against UNE and Southern Maine and then even more so the next two weekends after that.

You protest too much. If they are that young, it'll shake itself out over the next several weeks. It's really too soon to know much about anyone right now. Ask Geneseo how fast the poll can correct itself this early in the season.

I'd rather see Norwich playing its best hockey in late February/March and win its first ECAC East title in 3 years than be over ranked in November.

You know these rankings at this time of year mean squat! They only show respect and glad that Norwich is getting a little of it. Aren't you?

IMO, this early in the season, for poll purposes, this outweighs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_McShane_(ice_hockey)) who has done what this season.

Should Middlebury be ranked fourth out of respect?

Should Middlebury be ranked fourth out of respect?

Not long ago they used to be ranked at the beginning of theseason for no good reason other than what I would assume was respect. After a couple years of mediocrity though they no longer get votes.

For golf maybe, but otherwise he significantly fails the "what have you done for me lately" test.
