Any news on William Smith? I haven't heard of any recruits going there, and they haven't posted anything about a roster. Just curious if they will actually be hosting a team or not.

William Smith definitely has a team - about 18 players. They have been tweeting

Hmmm..... isn't the first allowed formal practice day in Division 3 on November 1? Captain's practice?

No. I believe practice could begin this past Monday, as in, two days ago.

If you're in the NESCAC, that would be correct. As William Smith is not, they have been free to practice since Midnight on Monday Morning. The first allowable official games will be October 31st (since November 1st falls on a weekend)

Aaahhh.... that's it! Forgot NESCAC had a later start date. Thank you.

This will probably be a rough year, but you have to start somewhere. Best of luck to the Herons.

By no means am I familiar with their entire roster, but there's a few pretty decent hockey players there. They may have a few rough games, but I think they can be competitive and win some games. Certainly shouldn't be the worst team out there.

Won't take much to jump ahead of Chatham.

The Valiants look to have added some size and a 1st year goalie from Russia.

Forecast for Saturday in Northfield has backed off the snow a bit. Hope to see you all up there!
