This poll is crap. Everybody knows Virginia Tech should be number one.

Wait!!! Let me explain. Bemidiji has 4 wins and 0 losses, DOES NOT make the poll. Harvard has played zero games, and DOES make the poll. So logically playing no hockey is better than playing hockey. This means V-tech, who has NO hockey team and will play NO games this year, must be the best team EVER, according to the pollsters logic, and should be number one.......GOOOO HOKIES!

I agree. Hokies should be ahead of Harvard.

Previous No. 1 (Minnesota); No. 3 (BC); No. 7 (Mercyhurst) and No. 8 (Quinnipiac) all went 1-0-1 against teams that they were probably favored to sweep. And the previous Nos. 4 - 6 (Harvard, Cornell and BU) did not play. Under these circumstances the question becomes: do you move the latter three up when they didn't beat anybody (see above criticism) and, if not, which other team deserves to take BC's place? Apparently the voters thought Harvard, and I suppose they're as good a choice as anyone, just because.

It was a bit of a strange week, and it will take a couple more weeks (when the Ivy's have some actual results to consider) to "restore some order".

Harvard hasn't either, and they're ranked above Cornell. I take it you think Ivy League teams should never be ranked until they play at least one game? I don't think there's much question that both Cornell and Harvard are Top 10 teams.
