So Pedrie decommits from us to go to Penn St. There has to be something we're missing here

I don't even have to say anything nasty about Q here. Penn State has an incredible facility, and is on a trajectory to be in the hunt for NCAA and Big 10 titles. I doubt there has been or will be a more rapid ascent to the elite of college hockey than PSU.

Would you rather be on a trajectory to be in the hunt or in the hunt each and every year already? Every kid values different things. Could like the size or the idea of playing in Minnesota every year

Well, I think that Penn State has a better chance of making it to the final four and winning a national championship before Q does. Gadowsky is a great coach and with the resources and environment, I've heard from a lot of D1 coaches that think they are going to be at the top and stay there in the way that Minnesota has or Michigan. Plus, with trips to two schools in Michigan, one in Wisconsin and one in Minnesota he will routinely get within driving distance to the twin cities. We have had players poached by BC and BU. I think PSU is in a position to do that quite often now. Second year in the Big 10 and they are already second in that league and routinely beating the big names. Just by nature of the league they play in versus the ECAC they'll get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to tickets to the dance.

I hear what your saying and have to disagree only on the frozen four and winning a national championship because Q was there two short years ago. The rest makes complete sense and I agree with haha

Great post except that both UM's haven't won a title in a while. UCONN will be another similar talent hog once all of the scholarships get to the maximum in a couple of years. It still amazes me how Yale and Union managed to win over the hockey machines that are in place.

Just a heads up and a video of the "Chaep Shot" hit against our Captain by 3ed line RPI Jake Wood. Charlie needed Stitches but looks to be ok.

Ok, it wasn't pretty but it was a win and 2 crucial points. It seemed like we started well and were ready to bury the Bears but somehow we let them hang around and make it interesting. Nice to see Landon Smith get the hatty.

And now the time has come once again... #BeatYale!

Great game for Landon Smith!! Two very important points. These next few weeks are full of much tougher teams that if we "let them hang around" we will get bit.
Cant wait for Yale tomorrow night! Lets hope we get 60 solid minutes of the Bobcats at their best.

Good win considering how bad we have played at Meehan recently.

Good win considering how bad we have played at Meehan recently. It wasn't much different than the previous few... almost let Brown back in a few times. I've seen 3 goal leads evaporate at Meehan before. Luckily they held on for the win.

These next few weeks are full of much tougher teams that if we "let them hang around" we will get bit. It's been a trademark of this team it seems. I had hoped that by now they would be beyond that but there's still signs of it lingering. Obviously, tonight is probably the single most important game thus far this season (and that can probably be said of each remaining game as well). Not because of the rivalry, but because of its implications in the league and Pairwise. It's going to take their best effort and nothing less.

Hopefully the blue & gold contingent at Ingalls will be loud tonight!

Go Q!

I very much enjoyed watching games at the Whale while I was still at school. If you get there early enough to reserve a standing room spot on the railing close to center ice, enjoy, because it is going to be a lot of fun. Two years ago (my senior year at QU) both teams were ranked in the top 10 at the time, and it produced an EPIC game. Bobcats fell behind 2-0 real early, but rallied to win 6-2 (?) I believe.

Here is to hoping that there is big Bobcat turnout tonight, and an even bigger Bobcat win!

With Vermont losing to Penn State today we are now 15th in the Pairwise which is the last spot outside of the AHA automatic qualifier. Tonight's game is huge and could boost us two to three spots.

Might have left one on the table tonight. While it was a really good game, neither team seemed to be able to take control. Having to deal with the suspension of Connor Clifton didn't seem to have any negative effect... Fiala stepped in and did a decent job along with the rest of the D. We had a few good looks in OT but couldn't find the back of the net. A 3 point road weekend isn't too shabby.

Good effort for the boys tonight. Thought the game was very evenly played.

We're up 3 pts on SLU with 8 games to go. Just from glancing at our schedule and no one elses, I'd say we have one of, if not the hardest schedule to close out the season. We sit 15th in Pairwise as of 10:55. Guys are going to have to win some big games to be playing in our third straight NCAA tourney. Should be a fun finish

K Jones-OKC AHL 18 GP 4G 4A +1 Both Jones' played extremely well for Bakersfield (ECHL) earlier this season
C Jones-OKC AHL 17 GP 2G 2A -1
JST- Rochester AHL 37 GP 3G 4A -12
Tolkinen-Elmira ECHL 45 GP 3G 10A -2
Langlois-Worcester AHL 42 GP 16 G 10A +4
Zach Currie-Evansville ECHL 33GP 3G 6A -1
Zach Davies-Reading ECHL 43GP 4G 19A -4

Think I got everyone. From the looks of it from these guys the next guy up could be Langlois.

Looking forward to a good weekend of Bobcat hockey!!

It will be interesting to see how things play out tonight at Cornell after their very eventful last meeting. Hopefully its a good clean hard played game.

I haven't seen any info on Toews. Any word on how long he will be out?
