A couple questionable ones, but I think the penalties in the 3rd had a lot to do with MSU's speed finally wearing down LSSU. But LSSU outworked us, won the majority of the 50-50 pucks, and showed great fight with the two immediate bounce back goals. Definitely not the same team we handled back in November
No, not injured at all. Coach has just refused to play him. Or rather, he hadn't "earned" his place on the game roster.
Funny, he got a goal and an assist in Friday's game and had one or two good scoring opportunities on Saturday before leaving due to injury. Or perhaps you missed that.

I didn't listen to Saturday's game. I thought he was asking if Vernace had been injured and was that the reason he hasn't played much up until now. Simple misunderstanding. No need to be snide.

He's playing pretty much the same number of games under Whitten as he did under Roque (assuming he stays at the same pace the rest of the season).
Sounds like Vernace is questionable for this weekend with an upper body injury. A lot depends upon if he's able to practice tomorrow, and if so, how well he practices. The Nardi/Globke/Vernace line played well this past weekend.
Arizona State will be a home non-conference opponent next season.

That line sure sounded like it was clicking pretty good. He said he was feeling a lot better so hopefully Vernace can go this weekend.

So next season 3 of the 4 non-conference series appear to be:
Arizona State
Tournament at Vermont
Tournament at Notre Dame

Also we will be going to Michigan State next year with them returning the trip to the Sault in 2016-17. We will also be in the Icebreaker tournament in Maine (in Portland, Maine) in October. Damon wasn't sure about us being in the Shillelagh Tournament if it was next season or in 2016-17.

For some reason, I seem to remember that the Icebreaker tournament games are exempt. So the Lakers could still have 1 more non-conference series if they are not in the Shillelagh Tournament next season.
Too bad the Icebreaker tournament is in Portland, and not in Orono at Maine's rink.
