We can now roll out a top six of players who participated in NHL player development camps this summer, and have another in the bottom six. Cool!
Scoring depth could vault this team into the next level. We don't need the highly-touted freshmen to score 30 points each. If they can each chip in 15-20, Lorito/Lappin/Naclerio chip in their expected 30+, and guys like Kramer and Pryzbek get 10-15, we could be an NCAA Tournament team.
Anyone know how the Mayor's Cup is going to work this year? We have a home-and-home with PC. Since they hosted last year, logic would suggest that the game at Meehan counts for the Cup, with the game at Schneider serving as a regular non-conference game. However, I haven't seen any clarification of this anywhere (Whittet "officially" released the schedule today, though we've known it for quite some time on here).
Are we doing a soccer-style aggregate goals thing? That could be...interesting.
What happened with the Harvard home game? It was originally scheduled for the first weekend of the season, but it's been moved to where it should have been all along (the day after travel partner Dartmouth comes to town). Has the league finally stopped allowing them a lighter February load, seeing as how they never do anything in the Beanpot anyway?
"RPI's mastery of Brown in the regular season has been rivaled only by their shortcomings against them in the playoffs. In the last 10 seasons, Brown has beaten RPI in more playoff games - six - than they've managed ECAC points against the Engineers - five."
Wow. That is truly astonishing. We all know how bad Brown has been against RPI from November-February each season, but to put it in perspective like this is VERY eye-opening.
Good read! Thanks for posting, Ralph.
(Also, the writer missed another key recruit who de-committed: Blake Weyrick).

I suspect that the writer is reading these comments.
Brown adds Buffalo native Chris Berger for either 2016 or 2017. being a 5'8 scorer, likely he ends up coming in 2017 with Nobles playmaker Michael Fahie. Off to a hot start in the OJHL as one of the youngest players in the league. Full article: http://overtheboards.net/brown-bears...-chris-berger/
Brown assistant Mike Devine, a former head coach at Kimball Union Academy, has been hitting the road hard and continuing the strong recruiting momentum the Bears staff has maintained in recent years. Head coach Brendan Whittet is a very good recruiter and has a keen eye for procuring high-end talent.
