  • UAA @ UA_ It's Never Too Early to Start The Sports Hate

If the guys from the rinky dink rink take care of business tonight, next weekend at _airbanks may be the deciding factor for the entire league. Very fitting that it'll keep some of the flatlanders awake till past 1 am.
It's a new day and a great day to be a Seawolf!

UAF made the kind of hockey history on October 10th 2015 that no team wants to claim – the Nanooks became the first NCAA Division I victim of Arizona State.

UAFHockeyFan314 - couldn't you come up with a user name that had a few more characters in it? Or are you trying to say there are 314 UAF hockey fans? Come to think of it, looking at the Carlson last night, me thinks that might be the case.

Hey, take a tip from UAA, close off the balcony ... it improves the atmosphere.

"According to NCAA, the (UAF) hockey team used ineligible players in every game played from the 2007-08 season to the 2010-11 season. Over that span, the wins and ties will all become losses. 4 wins and 2 ties came against rival UAA".

        UAF is 56-86-12 vs. UAA.

Not that I'm super proud of it, but last nights attendance was the largest it's been all season, 3,300ish. So nice try on that attempt of an insult.

Yikes, you definitely sound like an ACC graduate with that sentence.

That may have been tickets sold, but not butts in seats. Not even close. It's okay ... I know how you feel.

Yeah, sometimes it's hard to keep things straight when you're typing because you're working, unlike a UAF grad.

No, it definitely was the most crowded it's been. Military and their dependents got free tickets last night which were only available at the door. So doubt people would come to get tickets at 6 and then leave...but I don't know, maybe that's how things are done at the Sully.

GCI channel 1 had last nights UA_ game live.
And as painful as it is to admit, I'm jealous of that glass at Chucky Cheezes.
Glad that's out of the way. Now back to the hating.

That was tickets sold. Several military members weren't issued tickets, they were just allowed in with ID. They were supposed to provide tickets at the door to be scanned, but several did not because they bypassed the ticket counter and went straight in. Door agents just counted them versus telling them to go to the window for an official ticket. Door counts provided for fire code was 3,827 but can't be reported as attendance because its "unofficial".

You must be a ref! It takes a special breed of human to miss things like that!

My sports hate for the nooks was getting a little thick so I'm glad to have another to spread the sports hate around on.
And I could care less about your seat count.

UAA has its work cut out for it. Lets face it, Alaska is absolutely on fire. UAA will be forced to make changes to defend against (shocking words, I know) an explosive offense. I expect that UAA will be watching of video and have a surprise or two up their sleeves. Hopefully it won't come down to Kamal resorting to the tactics CJ Mott did.
The Alaska Airlines Governors cup is where it belongs.
