  • 2015 D-3 finalists Phrozen Four

The 2015 D-III Phrozen Four (Shinning? you mena the Shining. Shh! You want to get sued?!) host will be announced today. Who do you like? The finalists are:

Lake Placid - Herb Brooks Arena (host: Plattsburgh) Five of the last six have been here.

Minneapolis -Ridder Arena (host: St. Scholastica) Home of the best team in college hockey, University of Minnesota women. Hosted in 2011.

Utica - The Aud (host: Utica). Never hosted. No alcohol at NCAA tournament events, so the potential riot if Utica made it would not be as insane as you may think.

I knew it was a long shot, but I was hoping Brooklyn would win one of the Frozen Fours so I could go.

I was hoping for the First Bank Center (Broomfield), but very few DIII schools around here to sponsor it, I suppose. Would actually be a good venue. Was the home of a CHL franchise.

Never is a long time. The Aud was host to the 1962 Frozen Four (although I doubt it was called that way back when....and well before there was Divisions)

Put your thinking caps on and contemplate what is going on the the metropoli of St. Paul and Lake Placid the 3rd weekend in March and the implications on the format/structure of the D-III men's tournament.

I'll make it easy: As reported nearly week ago, as of 2015 the Frozen Four is moving to the fourth weekend in March and opening round games will be played on a Saturday instead of a Wednesday.
I wish I am able to live long enough to do all the things I was attributed to.

what would be the reason a school like oswego is not in the running for the FF?? Venue doenst hold enough?? not enough hotels?? to cold ?? Great arena and plenty of bars..or maybe they have to apply and choose not to??

Isn't there a 3,500 minimum capacity as well?
