Just for kicks, here's a look at how returning Denver players did last year and are doing this year in terms of plus/minus figures. Players are listed in order of their jersey number. There are three figures, in order they are: last year's +/-, this year's +/- and the difference between the two. Bear in mind there's still plenty of time for players to have their +/- figures improve or falter. In comparison to last season the figures show tough years thus far for Zajac, Larraza and Doremus. On the positive side LaLeggia, Levin and Allen have had the largest numerical increases, although Allen's figures last year and this are both negative numbers.

Doremus had the best plus/minus figure on the team last season at +14. Thus far Trevor Moore leads the team this season at +8.

      Didier: +4/ +1/ -3
      Levin: -2/ +4/ +6
      Makowski: +2/ -1/ -3
      Zajac: +12/ +1/ -11
      Loney: +2/+5/ +3
      Jacobson: +1/ -4/ -5
      Larraza: +12/+1/ -11
      Allen: -8/ -2/ +6
      Doremus: +14/ +4/ -10
      LaLeggia: -7/ +3/ +10
      Tabrum: +2/ -2/ -4
      Q. Shore: +2/ -4/ -6
      Arnold: -2/ -2/ Even
sigpic Eight. ....with a design on nine.

Think we should post this every Day and vote for Sam.
In my mind their, he is a top goal tender, MVP of the team and since we already have 3 Captains, Sam should be promoted to Major!

Wonder how Nolan felt about playing forward.

          Two things to consider:
          1. scored fewer goals than we did last year so fewer chances to get a "+"
          2. 42% of the goals scored were on the power play so no pluses there (24 of 58)

We also were scoring more last year 3.36 to this year's 2.64-more chances to get a "+" and last year only 27% of the goals were on the power play (35 of 131)
          GO DU !!!

All of which is EXACTLY my point: playing at even strength[whether 5 on 5, 4 on 4] this team stinks, period. Without the power play goal scoring ability of this team I don't think it would win ten games this season.

He is a defensive d-man with 1 goal and 6 assists for 7 points in 29 games and is +12. Not sure when he is coming as he will turn 18 at the end of this month and is a senior in HS. I guess he could be a true freshman next season. Also it looks like Jared Fiegl has or was de-committed to/by DU.

Heiseneberg has him coming in 2014.

USHL annnouncement of his committment. Also the USHL and College Hockey Inc sites still have Fiegl committed to DU while Heisenberg doesn't. Don't know why there is a discrepancy but hopefully he is still coming to DU.

Thanks for posting this. If you watch carefully, you'll see the chicken wire around the ice. It wasn't 'till the mid 60s that glass was installed.
