When Barron took the women's bball job, he had an opportunity to completely clean house and went and got 9 of his own players. Boom, instantaneous roster turnover. With Gendron, he'll have to wait a bit longer. For me, I'll expect a complete culture change, a higher standard of play in terms of consistency, etc the next two seasons, and then I expect an excellent recruiting class for the fall of 2015 and upward progress from there. reasonably this team will not make the NCAA's until at least 2015-2016, if not later, but at that point they should make the tournament 3 out of every 5 years at least and always be good, no true gutter years. this program is capable of reloading not rebuilding with the right guy at the helm, and I think Gendron can pull it off.

As a result, I think Gendron should be going after 2 blue chippers a year and make them your primary focus. give them the world. tell them that you're bringing them in and you want them to be leaders from day 1. tell them that they can be part of rebuilding a once proud program. if the program is on the upswing UMaine always draws well on TV and on the road so they will have tons of exposure and they'll be tabbed as being the players responsible for a revival of the Maine hockey program. Everything else is gravy.

I'm sold. Someone get all those BU, BC, and Minnesota commits on the phone and get them to flip their commitments right now. Should be pretty easy from what I'm reading.Originally posted by Greg Ambrose on 3/7/2010The fact that you BC fans revel in the superiority of your team in an admittedly weak league leads me to believe you will be more sorely disappointed when the end comes than we will.

Crosby probably wouldn't even be on BC's top two lines next year
