Plus miami loses and stays above the team that beat them? you can't make this stuff up. And of course we have Yale at number 7 having not played a game yet. Then writers wonder why no one gives them any credibility.

And this is why college hockey media polls are a joke, and always have been. There simply isn't enough national coverage of the sport for writers to objectively rate teams. The PWR, as much crap as it sometimes deservedly gets, is about the best ranking methodology for this sport that I've seen.

1. Having done media polls, I can assure you that they're subject to a lot of confirmation bias and "it's early, don't change" yet. 2. Two of Northeastern's wins are against us, and that probably doesn't excite anyone (especially considering that one was a one-goal win).
