Is their roster available anywhere? Their site still has last years roster.

Also, is Connery still on the team? Don't see her in this years photos.

Rosters usally posted after NCAA Squad Lists are completed, usually prior to the 1st contest. This will happen prior to Saturday's exhibition

It would be nice if a roster became available earlier, such as prior to last week's media teleconference. It is tough to ask questions about a team or write about it without knowing even basic information like who is on the team. If programs want more media coverage, it behooves them to do their part as well. If nothing else, put out an "unofficial" roster based on what is believed to be true at the time the players enroll. That will end up being the final roster the vast majority of the time. Many programs have had rosters available for weeks.

There are a lot of administrative hoops to go through before you are eligible to be on the ice. I take it some teams choose to wait until all players are cleared, and that is understandable. It is one thing to stroke off a player because they are red-shirting or injured for the year, it is another thing to have someone deleted because they could not pass the admin or academic qualifications. Those type of things are usually kept private and for good reason.

True. There is also the fact that at most programs the SIDs are working more than one sport, and tend to be tied up in the first few weeks of the semester getting everything squared away.

I don't think it is. If a player isn't cleared, either leave her off the preliminary roster or call the roster unofficial. Don't fail to communicate anything when your position is based on communication. Is this big-time athletics or isn't it? Because for football and basketball, it is assumed that there will be interest so an attempt is made to facilitate that interest, and nobody would defend a failure to do so. No program has had more issues with players not being cleared over the years than UMD, and they can manage to get a roster out far in advance of the start of the season.

I understand that there may be hurdles. Work around them.

Quinnipiac Athletics and Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Submit Bid To Host NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Frozen Four

HAMDEN, Conn. –Director of Athletics and Recreation Jack McDonald and Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Commissioner Rich Ensor have announced a joint venture by Quinnipiac University and the MAAC to co-host the NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Frozen Four at the Amway Center in Orland, Fla. for 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.

Quinnipiac will host the 2014 NCAA Women's Collegiate National Championship on Mar. 20-22 at the University's TD Bank Sports Center in Hamden, Conn. McDonald recently guided Quinnipiac to the MAAC and was accepted by conference commissioner Rich Ensor to begin competition in the NCAA Division I conference for the 2013-14 season.

The Quinnipiac men's ice hockey team recently advanced to the Frozen Four in 2012-13, defeating St. Cloud State in the national semifinal before falling to Yale in the NCAA Championshp Game at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pa. The 2014 NCAA Frozen Four will be hosted by the City of Philadelphia, Pa. at the Wells Fargo Center, home to the NHL's Philadelphia Flyers.

The arena is home to the Orlando Magic of the NBA, the Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL, and hosted the 2012 NBA All-Star Game. The NCAA announced November 12, the Amway Center was granted the opportunity to host 2nd and 3rd round games of the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament in 2014. On January 14, 2013, the Arena Football League's Board of Directors voted to award Arena Bowl XXVI to Orlando in the summer of 2013. On September 4, 2013, the Orlando Predators were informed the team that they had defaulted on their lease for failing to meet attendance requirements, forcing the team out of the arena.

No. Just &$# @#$*%@ *^@$&-@#&$%^# no. Holding the Frozen Four all ove r the country rather than in places where they actually play college hockey is one of the reasons we stopped going to the men's Frozen Four and switched to women's hockey. I cannot adequately express how strongly I hope this goes nowhere.

It says the Men's Frozen Four. Anyone know where the 2015 Women's Frozen Four is to be held?

AFAIK, it hasn't been announced yet. It wasn't until November last year that Quinnipiac was announced as the 2014 host.
