Nanne now appears on CH's list https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AoPLTHefMmmTdHkwbDlIemR5c2dGSXZveWF3OWNJZ VE&gid=1. He is using 11/29 instead of 11/28. I am going to keep it as 11/28 since that was the date of the original tweet.

A thread about Meirs Moore being traded on Finish Your Check http://finishyourcheck.com/topic/79918-fargo-sioux-city-trade/. Some interesting opinions.

Edit: Also interesting that Fargo has 10 dmen on their active roster at the moment and also 10 forwards http://ushl2011.stats.pointstreak.com/teamroster.html?teamid=140440&seasonid=11221.

Hey Ralph,

I'm considering attending a Victoria Grizzlies game to see Alec Dillon play (and, for hockey, of course!). Victoria is only a couple hours from Seattle via passenger ferry. Is there any rhyme or reason that you've seen to Victoria's goalie start decisions? Should I try and visit during a back-to-back weekend to ensure Alec plays?

If all goes well, I might attempt a Vernon visit (Alberni would have been a bit easier), or perhaps try to double up if Vernon plays in Victoria in the playoffs.

I haven't noticed any rhyme or reason, but I haven't paid attention. Also the stats program which the BCHL uses does not appear to have a way of getting a player's game-by-game results which would make a pattern stand out. I would think that if you go to back-to-back games he is likely to play in one.

FWIW, I was once in Victoria for a conference and project review. I flew on a puddle jumper from Seattle to Victoria with an intermediate stop in Port Angeles.

Go when Vernon plays Victoria (if they do). Best of both worlds! That's what I've done for USHL games.

They don't the rest of the year with the possible exception of the playoffs, as RHamilton implied in his last sentence. :)

Damm, you are good! :D I Googled that overnight when it was mentioned on the Union thread and it didn't show up. I should have looked the obvious place.

I wonder if Bell didn't make it because they knew he would still be injured.

Edit: Still out of the lineup today http://www.nojhl.com/game/game_sheet/5425536.

Just saw that Lou Nanne had committed to RPI. He certainly has the bloodline to be a difference maker.

More importantly  we have the same birthday.

Hopefully more than just the bloodline. :)

Off-topic Edit: As to birthdate, RPI should never recruit players with my birthdate, January 2. As far as I can recall, the only two are Mauro DiPaolo and Jason Fortino, neither of whom will make the Ring of Honor. (although DiPaolo's skates were used for the trophy that RPI and Union used to contest.)

Certainly he would have. He spoke German. :D

But his dreams were in a different language.;)

When Jenny stood next to DiPaolo she barely reached his navel! He was one big boy. But the little time he spent on the ice for us, he played much smaller.

On Wednesday, the Sudbury Nickel Barons lost to the Sioux Thunderbirds 5-1. Bradley Bell did not play. He is apparently still injured. http://www.nojhl.com/game/game_sheet/5425536

The 3 SOGs did tie for the high on his team. So that is a bit of a positive sign. Fargo is in last place and probably won't make the playoffs, so hopefully MM will have a chance to play his game.
