I wore my BLC polo to work today and got all sorts of looks and had a couple of discussions. Good times.

I guess that I'm media now, because I'm on Doug Spencer's WCHA press release distribution list.

Corbett wants to build identity: http://www.uscho.com/2013/07/25/corb...rams-identity/

At the bottom, he might as well have said, "The next Nic Dowd stays down here, dammit."

I think that a lot of fans are really happy that we stuck around, but the support and joy from Beavers fans has been near-unanimous.

I want two signs in the VBC on October 25th: "WELCOME BACK BEMIDJI" and "WE STILL HATE YOU".

If Corbett is anything like Frank, he scares me a little going into next year. And in a good way, as far as UAH is concerned.

Frank is pretty intense. He's tough, but he's fair and he's honest. His brother Ernie (Tom) is a little mellower, but not a lot. Both are outstanding hockey men and coaches. If Corbett brings a lot of Franks qualities with him, he'll do well.

The thing Frank has going, and it helps A LOT, is that his players are in tip top shape year round, both mentally and physically. Not that other programs' players aren't, but being at a Service Academy is a whole different level.

Judd Brackett ‏@Canuckscout - Congratulations to Carmine Guerriero (Hawkesbury) on committing to Alabama-Huntsville @Guerriero33

John Griggs is a CCHL alumnus. Hopefully that bodes well for young Guerriero. We needed someone after Gruehl was no longer going to be in the mix.

I do have a bit of a concern about the distribution of goaltenders, as we'll have CJ Groh as a senior and two freshmen in Larose and Guerriero. [Chad, it's not too late to change your last name to Gamble. I'll help you with the Clearinghouse.] Perhaps Guerriero or Larose would be able to not play this year (my bet is the newer signee), splitting time with CJ and allowing for a redshirt situation. That said, I expect that Corbett will play whoever is looking the best in practice and will worry about the class distribution later. It was the one thing that worried me about Gregg's departure.

Does anyone know why Gruehl isn't coming back? He showed a lot of promise and kept the tender situation leveled off (Sr., So., Fr.). This Guerriero signing is solid considering the circumstances. One can only hope he continues UAH's strong tender history from the CCHL (Griggs and Saunders).

I have heard rave reviews about Larose, but I hope CJ Groh really steps up and takes the job. He has the pedigree and has stuck with the program through thick and thin. Going to be very interesting to see.
