Connor Clifton selected in the 5th round by the Phoenix Coyotes.
Any word on if Clifton has fully signed on to come to Quinnipiac for the next season or is that still in question with whatever junior hockey option he was weighing?
Also, congrats to Peter Quenneville; 7th round to the Blue Jackets. Those NHL logos are starting to fill up the line charts now!

I think Peterborough is going to take a shot to get him but I think the fact that his brother Tim is also committed to Quinnipiac is huge in swaying him to Hamden.

College hockey reporter Jeff Cox on twitter suggests that Clifton seemed very excited about joking QU. Doubt he goes to Pete's.
Considering how many defensemen we are losing to graduation, I sure hope this is true. Clifton is a big-time recruit and will surely be used at QU next year if he spurns Peterborough. Plus, how can he turn down those brand new jumbotrons?
Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats offseason: Redemption in Philadelphia 2014
Your schedule is just about complete. I'm making an educated guess that your final opponent is Bentley, and the game will be played either December 14th or during the first weekend of the season.
Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats offseason: Redemption in Philadelphia 2014
Tons of current, former and at the moment future Bobcats on Development Camp rosters...
Edmonton- Connor Jones, Kellen Jones, Bryce Van Brabant
NY Islanders- Mike Dalhuisen, Michael Garteig
Calgary- Bryce Van Brabant
Vancouver- Connor Jones
Columbus- Peter Quenneville, Jeremy Langlois
Washington- Sam Anas
Pittsburgh- Eric Hartzell
Tampa Bay- Matthew Peca
Haven't heard about Jordan Samuels-Thomas but he remains the property of Winnipeg so he may be headed there.
Give 'em heck boys!

Couple things...
A clear concise unofficial 2013-14 schedule now posted on the blog. Click here to see it.
Also, rumor has it that Winnipeg has until mid August to sign Jordan Samuels-Thomas. JST will not be attending their prospect camp and if he doesn't sign then he becomes a free agent. The good news is that the big man will be back for his senior year with the Q.

My article at SBNation on the continued success of QU recruiting and the growth of the program and school.
Nice article, a good read. One thing though: our hockey arena specifically is called the High Point Solutions Arena. The overall complex is called the TD Bank Sports Center. It hasn't been the TD Banknorth Sports Center since its inception, and was never called a "Garden."
Zack Currie signs with the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL. Congrats Zack!
Congrats indeed! Zack becomes the sixth straight Bobcat captain to sign a pro deal following Zurevinski, Beaudoin, Henningson, Bates and Cashman. With Currie's signing, one would have to think fellow Bobcat defensemen Loren Barron and Zach Davies will sign ECHL deals soon.
ALSO..
'16-'17 recruit Logan Coomes of Frederick, MD was seen touring campus this past week. With this year's recruiting class potentially being the strongest ever (Clifton, Quenneville, Toews, Anas, Sherbinin, more) it's clear the Bobcats are a destination for talented young skaters and this trend should continue for years to come.
