Just as i thought Ohio State has the toughest road in but they do have alot of home games so maybe they can get this thing fixed.

Re: Remaining regular season games in the CCHA: 2012-2013

I realize this thread isn't getting much mileage, but I thought I'd continue to keep it updated to the end of the regular season.

I screwed up last week by adding to, rather than deleting from, the remaining opponent's conference record. Should be correct now. *

Of the current top six teams competing for the bye weekend, it looks like Ferris and UA have the most favorable schedules. MU, WMU, ND, and OSU have two games in hand on FSU and UA, but seem to have relatively tough schedules to close the season. We shall see...

I will be at Saturday's Miami v Western game and look forward to that matchup.

        MU (44): 3 home, 4 away, 1 neutral; remaining opponent’s conference record: 43-30-9
(WMU, ND, LSSU, OSU) PWR: 3t

        WMU (43): 4 home, 4 away; remaining opponent’s conference record: 39-31-10
(MU, OSU, ND, MSU) PWR: 6t

        ND (38): 4 home, 3 away, 1 neutral; remaining opponent’s conference record: 39-31-12
(UM, MU, WMU, BG) PWR: 14t

        FSU (36): 2 home, 4 away; remaining opponent’s conference record: 19-34-9
        (NMU, BG, UM) PWR: 23t

        OSU (35): 4 home, 4 away; remaining opponent’s conference record: 42-30-12
(UA, WMU, UM, MU) PWR: 25

        UA (34): 4 home, 2 away; remaining opponent’s conference record: 23-33-6
        (OSU, LSSU, MSU) PWR: 10t

        LSSU (26): 4 home, 2 away; remaining opponent’s conference record: 27-24-11

Re: Remaining regular season games in the CCHA: 2012-2013

This thread hasn't had much mileage, but I though I'd post for the last week of regular season play.

I added the results of the last meeting between each teams final regular season foe.

              MU (56): Record: 16-6-4-4 [21-8-5] PWR: 3

Last Mtg: GLI (Dec 29) T 1-1 OT

I think Miami will end up the regular season champion; I don't see OSU beating them twice in Oxford this weekend.

The five first round byes are a lock: MU, WMU, ND, FSU & OSU. So, FSU & OSU know who they're playing...each other. (They split two games in Big Rapids this season.)

So, it's a matter of who is going to play who in the first round.

Alaska is safe at #6, but should BGSU sweep ND this weekend they'll be tied at 40 points. BGSU has a win and a tie (UA SOW) against UA, so would BGSU be the 6th seed? So, I guess, Alaska is not safe at #6?!?!

Otherwise, I venture no guesses as to what will happen with the bottom five (BGSU, LSSU, UM, NMU, MSU) this coming weekend.

There should be some good, hard fought series this final weekend of the regular season.

If BG wins both games at ND they will be the 6 seed over Alaska because of the win and T over Alaska. Next weekend should be interesting. As much as i wish the Buckeyes would sweep that series in Oxford i know its a long shot. They have won only 3 games in that building since it opened. I would be happy with 3 points and hope Michigan gets 4 or more against Ferris to give the Buckeyes home ice. My guess as to what the standings will look like are

                1. Miami
                2. Western
                3. Notre Dame
                4. Ferris
                5. Ohio State
                6. Alaska
                7. Bowling Green( i think they will get points from ND)
                8. Northern Michigan
                9. Lake State
                10. Michigan
                11. Michigan State.

If FSU and OSU are tied in points after the regular season and they split their season series 1-3 and 3-1, who gets the home ice? Ferris currently leads in wins 13 to 12.
NMU Hockey Since 1976 ...there at the beginning.

Bill Crawford, LSSU radio announcer, on NMU hockey: "This is their MO right to the tee: get out shot, get out played, keep hangin' in there, just rope-a-dope it in your own zone, get it up the ice, bang it in and win the game."

More wins is the First Tie breaker. Now if Ferris gets 3 points without winning a game and Ohio state Wins one game next weekend they would be tied in points and wins. Then it goes to goals for and against in the series which would be tied. The next tie breaker would be winning percentage against the champion(miami) Ohio state would be 1-2-1 in 4 games. Ferris was 1-1 vs Miami so they would get the 4th Seed.
