Jon Landry who was a stud at Bowdoin from 2002-2006 made the NY Islanders camp at 29 years old. He is 17th all time in career points for Bowdoin with 121 in 98 games. Here is the story posted on the Islanders website :http://http://islanders.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=650363&navid=DL

Congrats to him, here's to hoping he finally gets that first shift in the show!Maybe he's trying to buy the franchise and using the stint as a "scouting" trip? :)

Kevin McFarland from Potsdam was invited to the St. Louis Blues camp (McFarland is from St. Louis), because the Blues didn't have enough goaltenders to skate with the team (two of them are currently playing in the AHL).

Pretty cool even if your only job is the hockey equivalent of a sparing partner.
