Plattsburgh letting the game get out of hand. Johnny Van Siclen scored a rebound goal to make it 3-0 Amherst with a little over 2:30 left in the second. Plattsburgh now on a PP.

With help from the 2011-2012 Media Guide and collegehockeystats.net, Plattsburgh State has not been shutout twice at home in one individual season since the program's inaugural season in 1975-1976.

Well that record will have to wait for another night. Rich Botting fires one from the top of the circle for his first career goal to break the shutout. 3-1 Amherst with 2 minutes left.

Amherst is an impressive team. It might be one of those teams the Cards don't match up with very well. Their D keeps everything outside and is very mobile. It's hard to imagine Trinity beating them. I thought they were on par with the Norwich, Oswego types. In fact, they are better defensively than either one of those teams.

I've seen enough of the Lord Jeffs for a while. Let Norwich or Oswego try them out !!
