I did this last year, and will do so again this year. Basically, for those interested, please post your top-10 teams. The results will be used by College Hockey Weekly for their power rankings, so we as posters have the unique ability to have our voices heard. Anyway, if you wish to have your vote counted by CHW, please have your vote in by Tuesday, October 23rd, at 12:00pm Eastern Time.

My Top 10:
1 - Boston College - The Eagles struggled on Friday, but came back to get the victory. BC followed that up with a 3-0 victory on Saturday on banner-hanging night...not too shabby.
2 - Minnesota - Houghton isn't the easiest place to play, especially when Tech plays well. Minnesota will be fine this year, but this weekend should tamper the lights-out expectations that some Gopher fans had...at least for one weekend.
3 - North Dakota - UND played shorthanded up in Alaska, and by Saturday night it showed. Alaska outplayed UND the last 40 minutes on Saturday in a 2-1 victory. The highlight of the night for UND was Saunders play in net.
4 - Cornell - Again, the Big Red didn't play a regular season game, but showed their talent in a 6-2 victory over the U-18 team
5 - Western Michigan - The Broncos continued their slow start this weekend against Canisius, but still managed 2 victories on the weekend.
6 - New Hampshire - The Wildcats continued their strong play with a 4-1 victory over BU in their only game on the weekend.
7 - Denver - The Pioneers showed what they are capable of, winning both of their games over strong competition beating Lowell 5-1 and Air Force 5-2.
8 - Notre Dame - The Irish split a difficult series at home against Duluth, dropping a Thursday contest before salvaging the series with a victory on Friday.
9 - Union - The Dutchmen didn't play this weekend, but drop in my list due to the rise of UNH and Denver.
10 - Michigan Tech - The Huskies looked very good against Minnesota, and they could have easily walked away from the weekend with a sweep. Even still, they were impressive in getting a split.

Honorable Mention:
Harvard
St. Lawrence
Massachusetts Lowell
Miami
SCSU

“@chrismpeters: The excuses are coming in from the NoDak fans fast and furious. Yes UND was suspension depleted. Still No. 2 team in country, right? Yep.”

I am sad that I missed Chris blowing up Twitter last night.

I thought his assessment was pretty spot on myself.

“@chrismpeters: The excuses are coming in from the NoDak fans fast and furious. Yes UND was suspension depleted. Still No. 2 team in country, right? Yep.”No exuses from this guy. 16 skaters sure but they should still beat a team that is predictd to be 11th in the CCHA. I fully expect 2 convincig wins this weeknd over AA with what will be a full squad minus Paks.

This isn't really the thread for a Minnesota-North Dakota contest for who had the worse loss. If you want to comment, go for it, but at least post your top 10.

For those still wishing to get their top 10s in and have them count, there are about 80 minutes left to do so. Also, thank you to all of you who have already posted your top 10s.
