I'm tracking the top ten scorers, and so far mar7967 is leading the pack with a whopping 8 points (out of 14), but is done scoring points in both the AHA and the ECAC. In the oWCHA, Minne is the only team that will help the top ten the rest of the way, and they're not looking good down 2-0 with 4 minutes to go. Sweeney has Yale tomorrow, and gochiefs has Yale and Union. That's it for future ECAC points for the top ten. AHA? We're all done. All ten of us. None of us have lost our HE champ. Yet. The BU/BC game will change that.

We're pathetic. This is just awful. If tOSU wins tomorrow we should all just go home and cry.
The question is are you looking up my colon or am I looking up yours?

Top ten posters scored 11 out of 100 possible points in the oWCHA. IF Yale and Union win tomorrow, we will score 12/90 in the ECAC. We rocked the AHA, scoring 14 out of 80 possible points. Woohoo!

Globally, nobody will have the oWCHA winner. Two people (might) have Union. One chucklehead might look like an idiot savant with Canisius. In HE, one homer has lost his pick for champ. So far - the Bostons aren't quite done yet.

All of this is assuming that I have tabulated this stuff correctly. And judging by my picks, I'm capable of airrers!

The question is are you looking up my colon or am I looking up yours?Your picks were in first - you do the math. But from here out we diverge: I've got BU and Michigan, while you've got BC and Miami. You're going down!

Math hurts and I'm screwed.

Mrs. UR made the point last night that it is a good thing we're not betting actual money - many of us would be homeless!

Well, FWIW, most of our predictors are over 55% overall. There are even a few who hover around the 60% mark.

This weekend? Yeah, we'd all be on the street. :p:D:D

Also, with a Michigan win, gochiefs will have rocketed up to a tie for 1st place with SFIS. Next week should be interesting. :)

Our top ten as of a week ago scored 11 out of 100 possible oWCHA points. We matched that percentage in the ECAC (definitely not the EZAC!) with 10 of 90. Mercyhurst's win let us step it up to 14 of 80 AHA points! Lowell out-pointed all three of those leagues, providing the top ten with 46 of the 52 (out of 80 possible) that we put up in HE. The CCHA's last game ever will bring us to 30 or 38 of 80. Truly not stellar. Looked at another way, the guy leading our charge with a big lead after last weekend (I'm not picking on you, SFIS, you'll see in a minute) had scored one measly point between the oWCHA, ECAC, and AHA on an oWCHA play-in game. And I was jealous!

Trying to decide whether to play it straight the next few weeks, or risk going out in a blaze of glory hoping for some epic upsets.

How about this for an interesting scoring twist this past weekend: each championship game was a pool worth 4 points for everybody who picked, split by the guys who correctly picked the winner. Nobody would have gotten points for the oWCHA. Two posters would have received 34 points each for the Union and Notre Dame wins, 10 people would have scored 7 points each for the Lowell win, and one prescient schmuck would have garnered 68 points for being the only one with enough brains or balls (I can't tell which) to pick Canisius. You'd just need to do one league championship that way - kind of like a bonus ball in the lottery - to really throw things for a loop. It could be done with the Regionals next week.

Interesting concept, but that is probably a little bit more work than I am willing to do at this point.

Week 23 Games...

This week we will be attempting to predict the NCAA Tournament. Each Regional by itself is worth 12 points overall (3 points for each semi, and 6 for the final). Similar to last week, only the semifinals will count towards your correct pick percentage. As always, picks must be in by drop of the puck of the first game. This week, that deadline is 2pm Eastern on Friday. No late picks will be scored.
