Tough weekend against the Bobcats. Having Brittany Ott out of the lineup didn't help. Offense struggled and may take a few games to get the young players into the offensive flow
Nice win against Connecticut in second game. Brittany Ott returned to the lineup and helped the Bears to their first win. Big test this weekend against BU and NU. Both teams are among the best in the country.
Maine always seems to find their A+ game against Northeastern (and Vermont seems to do the same to UNH)

Audra Richards is having a nice start for you. A 4-1-5 line in 7 games.
Agree great start! She is a great MN success story - loved the game, best kid in a weak Tartan HS program but was always committed and often best player on ice. She did the T-Breds in the JWHL and found her way to a D1 program - I think Lewis has a diamond in the rough who should only get better.
Nice win in Minnesota over the Beavers! Started slow, but sure got rolling in the third period of the first game. It was a big win for the Black Bears. It looks like the team is starting to get familiar with each other.

Yes, that was a nice win against Bemidji. Last year this team played much better on the road than at home. Coach Lewis thought it was because the team was more focused and had fewer distractions on the road. New Hampshire at home this weekend. I'll be there to see them.
Congratulations to Brittany Ott for being selected defensive player of the week in WHEA. She had a very nice performance against Bemidji State this past weekend in playing both games.

Agree on the nice performance; she didn't start the Friday game, but played 5 of 6 periods on the weekend.

Maine had two hurdles to overcome today. First, it was the superior talent of UNH. They are a big strong team with good skaters. Second, the officiating was terrible. I'm not making excuses, UNH was the better team. Coach Lewis was visibly upset and had a conversation with the officials at the end of the game. She kept her composure and shook hands with them before leaving the ice. The non-calls on UNH were truly unbelievable. Maine played very good defense and kept a talented UNH team to only two goals. With the number of power plays UNH had it was even more impressive.
