Seriously. Maybe they are planning on using one or two in a trade and are filling a vacancy that will be apparent once the details of the trade are ironed out.

The lock is common. It happens once a thread gets to 1,000 replies, but Ralph will have to inform us of when the new time is of when the thread gets locked (it used to be x:32, but that got nixed once the board was updated).

A trade sounds the most probable. Do they still have Mason?

Oh, I know. Just saying why I started a new thread.

Yes, they do. Sounds like they wanted Gustavsson, but they didn't get him, so "sources" think they'll probably go with Bobrovsky-Mason in the NHL to start the season. Interestingly though, they didn't seem interested in Brodeur:

Howson: "I don’t think (Brodeur) would be a great fit for us at this point in his career."

They want goalie longevity... but they don't want to start someone in the NHL who had a winning record (albeit across 5 starts)...

lost in the, "goalie shake", Mark Dekanich. He was suppose to be Mason's backup w/Columbus last year till 2 ankle injuries killed his season. Is he also in the picture this year?
Brandon Pirri: Turk would give it to Jagr. That's awesome! Jagr's untouchable. And he would give it to Jagr.

According to this (unofficial) list, he's an unrestricted free agent now. So theoretically one of these goalies (York/McElhinney) will take his role. Unless they decide to re-sign him and add to their stockpile.

              It seems more random now.

Perhaps it is reflected upon the amount of time passed between post #1001 and the lock?

cross Dekanich off the list...he signed with with Winnipeg. http://theahl.com/jets-agree-to-terms-with-pair-p178247

The Harrisburg Patriot-News reports that long-time Hershey forward Keith Aucoin has signed with the Maple Leafs organization. Aucoin has been a top scorer in the AHL for years and has played parts of seven seasons in the NHL, but has never stuck with an NHL team for a full year.

Another number for D'Amigo to contend with in the numbers game as he tries to win a spot on the Leafs.

I don't see that...Aucoin is a pure center which shouldn't have any affect on Jerry's TOI. I doubt Brian Burke is bringing in a 32 yr. old journeyman (although a very good one) to take the spot of any 20-21-22 yr. old prospect but rather to help these young turks develop their game further.

I have not figured out how to paste links into this yet. Having said that has anyone seen the article that was in the Schenectady Gazette about 2 weeks ago on Marc Cavosie? It was a nice article about how he was named MVP for the tourney in the Asia league. He is playing with the Oji Eagles over there.
