Jake Hansen is a goon from ND.

So, it was your usual nonsensical ramblings, then. Got it.

It's going to be a long offseason.

Hey, it's already been three weeks shorter than you guys are used to.

Was reading through GPL and I don't think there is much of an Alliance. A lot of hatred for BC over there. Anyway, I am pumped about the scheduling deal between BC and Minnesota. I will certainly make my way out there at least once.

Never did get 100% bye in, unfortunately. :)

Very true. Well, I certainly don't have any hatred for the Gophers. I will be going out to Wisconsin this summer for my girlfriend's family's reunion. I have one Gophers t-shirt that I will break out at one point. Lots of Badger alums in that family. :D

My hero!! Best of luck tonight....I've always rooted for BC when not playing MN. Loved it when they came into Mariucci for a regional several years ago and swept the Badgers out of town.

Believe it or not, some of us have been watching for more than three years, and we can remember longer than that too, unlike your fan base. :p

still love college hockey

"Tentatively scheduled for January 18th and 19th."

Thanks. Just checking that you have the tentative dates in Minni? Approximately when does the schedule get set in stone?

I'd love for BC to appear on the schedule more often. I think the weaker than weak non-conference schedule hurts more than it helps. Especially when you suck against it like they did this year.

That's right, I forgot--your memory goes back to 2002. :)

Gopher are lucky they didn't beat BC, cause they would not have been able to handle Ferris.

You know what's awesome? It's the fact that this season's MN team accomplished more than your sorry team has in its entire history. Your crappy envious program will not be missed when we go to the B1G. Good riddance, Jan.

Have fun in the Little Six. I know Penn state is a huge rival. Mary Oochie will be SRO when Ohio and Penn come to town, right?

It will definitely take some time, seeming no real Gopher fan wanted this.

Not all that different from hosting Mankato, Bemidji, UAA, or Tech in that regard.

Heard conversation on wcco today that Mike Guensel may be a head coach next year. Would he be a fit at Minn St? Anyone heard anything.

There are a few rumors circulating. One is that Lucia will become the B10 commish, and Guentzel will become head coach. The other is the one you just mentioned. All we know is that Eades threw his hat in at Kato at this point.

Patterson, Bjugstad Named Second-Team All-American (http://www.gophersports.com/blog/2012/04/patterson-bjugstad-named-second-team-all-american.html).

Mike Guentzel told KEYC Fox TV Mankato yesterday in an email regarding the head coaching job at MSUM, "I am sure it is an attractive situation and one in which I will look into further in the coming days."

EDIT:

Mankato Free Press (http://mankatofreepress.com/sports/x101440700/MSU-aims-to-have-new-hockey-coach-by-end-of-month) reported that AD Buisman wants a new head coach by the end of this month.

Guentzel's has expressed interest in the MSUM job and I would think he would be the top candidate over OTHERS (http://mankatofreepress.com/sports/x611946874/A-short-list-of-possibilities-for-MSU-coaching-job) mentioned.

If Guentzel takes the MSUM job, without a doubt it's a huge loss for the Gopher hockey program.

In terms of college hockey, it's 1970 when I started watching. :)
