Zucker getting a lot of press in the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Wild fans seem to think he may be the savior they have been looking for.

Do you guys think that despite injuries Bennett and/or Makowski might go?

I think most of us are expecting Bennett to go. However, mentioning Makowski is like a bucket of very cold water.

Drew Shore did not play tonite in San Antonio, but TJ Fast did play for Abbotsford.

I'm thinking positive thoughts that Beau will be Beau back in Denver next year.

You seem to be forming a habit of getting upset with me for no good reason. What's the deal? :confused:sigh

Changing the tone here a bit...how about some good news about a Pioneer alum? Kevin Ulanski is still making the fans happy in Loveland. Gotta like the headline: "Nice Guys Finish First: Ulanski Leads Eagles to Win in Home Finale".

Posted by FS 23 on the 2011-2012 All-Americans Threads.
Drew Shore, Jason Zucker and Joey La Leggia are the Pios on the list.

I thought I would start a thread to talk about the All-Americans that will be announced, along with discussion of all the other awards.

College Hockey Weekly has their All-American list out...

http://www.collegehockeyweekly.com/2...Americans.html

College Hockey News has their All-CHN teams out...

(forgotten how to reply with quote from another thread :o)

No, the writers at the Strib seem to think he is the Wild's savior. :D

He isn't the savior. He is just the first in exciting young prospects (other than Hackett) to come in. The combination of Zucker, Granlund, Coyle and Larsson are the savior, really.

He is indeed in the lineup tonight. Wearing number 16. Usually a low number right off the bat means they have big plans for the player.

Also, it looks like the rest of the "By the Decade" releases will take place this summer
National Champion 2003-2004 Team missed the list, but we weren't shutout

Jay Z with his 1st NHL point tonight with an assist in the 1st period on Wild's 2nd goal. Wild trail Kings 3-2 at the end of the 2nd.

From Wild Blog

16:15 - MIN 2 - LAK 1 - The action is fast and furious as Jason Zucker picks up his first-career point. Zucker drives the net, and runs into Bernier with the puck. The biscuit lays there for a second and Nick Johnson pops it into the oven for a goal. Wild action here to start!

Jay Z with his 2nd assist to help tie the game at 3 in the 3rd period.

From Wild Blog

9:03 - MIN 3 - LAK 3 - Even Steven, as the Wild converts on a 3-on-3. Christensen crosses with Zucker and leaves a drop pass to the rookie. Zucker rips a wrist shot that is partially blocked on the way to the net. It deflects towards Christensen, who is going to the net and bounces off his skate and in the net.

The season is getting long for Wild fans, and Zucker is giving us something to be optimistic about. He looks fast and aggressive going to the net. He seems to stand out more skating with higher level players who can feed him and receive from him.

It's been such a long season that the Wild have a chance at a top five pick, but are blowing it by winning meaningless games. Go figure.

It's the professional Minnesota sports franchise way.

Zucker made a terrific breakout pass in OT to spring Setaguchi that led to him getting pulled down and a penalty shot (which hit the post).
