Plus, we'll have at least three more posts before then.

Is it October yet?

Mookie1995 Said: not there to order!!!!

just the final from 98.... probably embarrassed about the game played in a swamp.

1996 was the swamp. 1997 was the EPIC upset - sometimes the better team doesn't win.

Off to go review that link to see if it's me... (i.e., Blackhawks Amonte jersey wearer.)

And yes, we do talk a lot. And yes, we are still giddy. (Though all this 1991 talk has tempered that a bit. ****, we should have won that game! Yes, I'm greedy. It's the American Way. )

Ha! Not me being interviewed (Mine is the classic, now "home" - can't get used to that - red.) But, at the 16 second mark you can see me walking by (quick cut.)

Cool piece. Thanks for posting.

The guy they interview is not you. His Amonte shirt is black (did not know that the Blackhawks had black jerseys). There is another quick shot of someone in your shirt, but I thought I saw more than one. Couldn't tell if it was you. I think it was.

I may need to order those 1995 DVDs. I need to track down my season retrospective video of that season. Anyone know where I can take that VHS to get it transferred to DVD? And I agree - I would love to see that 1997 semi again. It still remains one of the best games I've ever seen BU play. Need to order the 2009 DVD. I sent an email asking if there was going to be a retrospective of this past season. Will let you know if I hear back.

from the last thread:
"There are two Amonte jersey wearers - it takes a close eye to catch the o ther. I wonder who that is. Hmmm...

BU Hockey: The best fans "

be careful, we might get an influx of northeastern fans running over here screaming bloody murder and quoting a new york times blog post.

My dear Scarlet:

Play it Again Video will transfer VHS to DVD for a pretty reasonable price. They are located in Needham and off Route 128.

By the way I contacted NCAA on Demand and unfortunately they do not have the films from 1971 and 1972. They indicated what they have is on their website.

Thus the voice overed 17 minute highlight film wILL HAVE TO SUFFICE.

Be well.

My house. I don't how the quality is, it has always been at least a slight downgrade of the original tape, but if you would want to mail it to me I could give it a shot and mail you back the VHS and DVD.

While we're all asking around for videos: anyone own a copy of the 1997 Regional Final against DU?

Scarlet, I will make you a DVD copy as long as you have the video tape (I will use my copy). I should also be able to put together highlights (IMO) from the 97 semifinal.

Congratulations to Brett Bennett, the second BU goalie to win a national championship this year! The Indiana Ice defeated Fargo in four games to claim the Clark Cup USHL Championship. Bennett finished the playoffs with a 2.36 GAA and a .920 save percentage - talk about a clutch performer!

Also, notice that he hasn't changed his mask much

Oh Bennett. Now he can finally let off some steam.

That is hilarious, though.

Re: Boston University Offseason Thread #2 - Yep, still giddy!!

In the alternate universe where Millan and Rollie are average and BU has another mediocre year while Bennett still puts up nice numbers and wins a USHL championship, what are we thinking? Oh shoot, he was our guy? Or do we still think he sucks and stand behind our new guys?

I could care less. It was obvious his attitude wasn't a good fit for the team.
