Northeastern's Steve Quailer

I've heard that he might go to the WHL instead as their might be a problem with his grades. Can any Northeastern fans confirm this? I know that Seattle Thunderbirds own his WHL rights.

Re: Northeastern's Steve Quailer

Quote:
S Steve Quailer (3rd round, 86th overall) is a 6-foot-3, 184-pounder from the Sioux City Musketeers of the United States Hockey League.

Timmins said Quailer, who was selected to the USHL all-rookie team, could be one of the team's home runs.

"He has good size and he's an excellent skater," Timmins said.

"He played for the same USHL team as (2007 first-rounder) Max Pacioretty and he was the team's MVP."

Quailer is scheduled to attend Northeastern University in Boston in the fall, but he also has been drafted by Seattle in the Western Hockey League.

"He's waiting for the NCAA clearing house to check out his marks before his acceptance at Northeastern is final," Timmins said.

"He'll be at our development camp next month and we'll talk about what will be the best route for him."

I guess we will wait and see.

I can't see how he won't get in. This happens all the time. I've seen DI teams get a doctor to diagnose a kid with a learning disability just so they can play DI football. I'm sure hockey has its loopholes, as long as you're willing to sacrifice some of your morals. I think it really comes down to where he feels he will develop the most next season. I would love to see the kid play so I hope he does get into NU

Will follow the same route as Max Pacioretty. The clearing house did not have his grades. He just graduated from High School!

What hype? I asked if he's going to Northeastern or not due to his grades.

Re: Northeastern's Steve Quailer

i heard this kid took down key members of the yakuza in Toronto, LA , and Boston. He's also solved the world hunger crisis and managed to keep the US dollar from falling any further than it has. Oil prices? np, he's the reason we aren't at 200 US/barrel.
