The NCAA has published its criteria for selecting teams for the national tournament, but has not, and, according to sources, will not say how they are weighing the criteria. One source indicated to me that the weighting is not [...]

Re: Back to the Smoke Filled Room

A couple typos, Chris, that spell check didn't pick up.

The numbers did not much the teams selected.
2. It counts every game. This is-region stuff is ridiculous.

Re: Back to the Smoke Filled Room

Chris,I couldn't agree with you more...

Matter of fact,I can't see why anyone would disagree with using the PWR or some other objective means of picking the field. The voodoo "system" now in place is as murky as swamp-water,and smells just as bad, too.

What mystifies me is thw why of it all.It ain't as though D-3 hockey makes a buck,post-season or not,so where's the motivation to screw a Neumann,vs. screwing a WI-River Falls? Is it all about old-boy cronyism?

Whatever it is,it needs to end.Let's get the most deserving teams in,and let 'er rip, already.
