Post Adrian and the PWR

Now’s the time of year when I usually break out the D-III version of Bracketology. Unfortunately, it’s going to have to wait a little longer this year. The NCAA revised its selection criteria this year, moving away from the (frankly) goofy point system to assess a team’s strength of schedule. The new process is closer [...]

Re: Adrian and the PWR

Congratulations to Coach Forgarty and the Adrian team for such a great inaugural season. My thoughts as to their NCAA DIII playoff hopes are good luck but if you are only working on building a Division I program which has been suggested then I personally would not feel to bad if you did not make the DIII NCAA's this year. Let the DIII schools who have been working hard year in and year out to make the big show have the chances as they are not using this as a stepping stone.

Re: Adrian and the PWR

It seems to me that the Adrian team would be competitive. As the other teams have had their own chance to compete to put themselves into position to go further into the playoffs, I think you need to give the nod to Adrian to give them a chance to compete on the ice. Of course, I think that they probably need to win out in this scenario.
