Goaltender Mike Stone (Wis-Stout) has landed with an IHL team in Michigan, believe he leaves in a couple of weeks.

Here's a bit from the Boston Globe's website regarding Boston's preseason game with the Islanders....obviously Kurtis suited up...

Quote:
Earlier in the third, Johnny Boychuk caught Kurtis McLean with his head down and cleaned the forward's clock with an open-ice hit. McLean was slow to get up and left for the dressing room.

I couldn't find a box score, but it looked like he played on the third line.

If you look closer you will see that Kyle Jones from SNC is on the training camp roster. He was the backup the other night when the Sharks played the Ducks.

From the Caps website:

"Caps center Keith Aucoin, who hails from Waltham, Mass., skated 13:30 and picked up a pair of assists in his first game in a Washington sweater."

from the Cap's preseason victory over the Bruins on Saturday.

Matt McGilvray, 2008 J&W grad has been invited to the Fresno Falcons (ECHL) camp and will report this week. Good Luck Matt

(Exerpt from Falcons web site): McGilvray played four years of college hockey at Johnson & Wales University, leading the Wildcats in scoring during each of his four seasons at the school. He was a finalist for NCAA Division III Player of the Year last season.

Former Hobart College stand out defensemen Will Bodine was in the Hartford Wolfpack's training camp (AHL of the NY Rangers).

However, he was released and has joined up with the Utah Grizzlies.

Utah is the ECHL affiliate of the New York Islanders. Bodine is from Long Island.

Kudos to Bodine and hopefully he catches on with the Grizz.
