Radio Highlights of HC vs. Minnesota
This was posted on the HC vs. MN thread, but I'm starting a new one just to get a little more exposure.
Our programming director, Chris Del Vecchio, compiled this highlight clip of our broadcast and aired it before the UND game. It's not available on our station's website.
There will also be a guestbook later in the day if you want to send us a message. Thanks for some unbelievable memories.

One clarification: I am a HC student; I had to post under my brother's SN because USCHO won't let me log out.

Like I said, a superb team only matched, by an equally smart and savvy crowd of fans.

Cool! I loved watching it and jumped up and down when they scored in OT. I liked listening to your highlights almost as much. Thanks for the link.

That was fantastic. Reactions like that are what make college sports great.

Very cool. I'm sure that game will be the highlight of HC hockey for some time to come. I wish I could have watched the game but had to work.

I listened to this the other day, and was thrilled with how much excitement these guys brought to the broadcast. The call of the game winning goal was one of the better ones I've ever heard.

Re: Radio Highlights of HC vs. Minnesota
I happened to be out of town and didn't get to watch any of the games on Friday. When I started seeing the scores on ESPN go by, I was in SHOCK when I saw the score. Hearing this clip was awesome.

Most of the Gopher fans at the game were shocked too.

Given MN's play throughout most of the HC game and during the preceding week(s) shock had long since past, it was just a matter of time.

John Rish and Ken Hodge, BC's play-by-play guys had a similar reaction when BC won in OT in 2001. I love those calls...

Re: Radio Highlights of HC vs. Minnesota
You can tell a win really means something to a school when they put together a webpage for it, complete with play-by-play and links to various message boards!

Re: Radio Highlights of HC vs. Minnesota
Gotta love the enthusiasm (and BTW, that call dwarfs the insanity that Angringa and Posick did for the Badgers 3OT game winner, which amazes me, because those guy whoop it up a LOT).
My only beef: I absolutely cringed when one of the guys said "Do you believe in Miracles" I dont even have to explain how many levels this is wrong on. Memo to announcers-when your team pulls of a huge upset, come up with your own catch phrase, dont borrow one from a monumental upset.

I had a cringe moment there too, although I was listening for it. At first I thought they weren't going to do it, and then there it was....
