Super Bowl 2006

Now that SB 39 is over, can the Patriots win a 3rd unprecedented SB trophy or 4 in 5 years? Not sure if Detroit would be my favorite place to go in February but can the Patriots do it again without 2 excellent coaches and who can we speculate will take their spots?

Next, what are the needs of the team for the coming draft? Cornerbacks to anticipate the departure of Ty Law? Who's available in the draft that you would point at?

Possible replacement linebackers for the aging LB corp or another end like Seymour who will probably demand big money when his present contract is up.

More linemen on the offensive line? Would you cut the injury prone Klemm?

The NE Patriots will probably be favored to win it all again next season. Publications like Sporting News, Streets & Smith, etc. they usually go with the current champion -> NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

I think they'll keep Law another year and ship Poole out. The problem as I see it is that while you can replace Poole with Samuel (an improvement actually), that leaves Wilson-Harrison-??? back there. I'm okay with Gay in nickel situations but he's not a starter. Keep Law and restructure the cap hit IMO.

I'd draft a linebacker because they are getting up there and the guys playing on the line are fairly young (Seymour, Wilfolk, Warren, Green). They also have that Marquis Hill guy from LSU I believe.

Colvin and Vrabel are under 30 I believe, and they do have Rodney Bailey coming back. Klecko is around too, so maybe I'd just draft one spot here.

Other than that, with no need for any receivers, running backs, QB's, etc. I'd hope they draft some offensive linemen and someone for the secondary.

They'll drop Law and Poole and will go get some solid, cheaper players through free agency and the draft.

You mean like last year when nobody even picked Tampa to win their division?

Who cares what you think Bruce. Your opinion is like your mindset, a little off key. Truth is SN, SI and S&S have been accurate the last 6 years in Superbowl predictions, but we won't talk about NCAA pigskin predictions.

The NE Patriots won a third bowl. In this day and age of free agency, salary cap and parity, the New England Patriots were able to win the big dance (unlike Manning, Vick, Favre, etc.)

Was that you in Boston yesterday I saw, dancing like an American-Indian trying and hoping for some rain on the parade?

E-mail me your fax number, I can photocopy the 1999 to 2004 S&S predictions and send them to you.

Leftists across America agree the New England Patriots are the best team in the NFL for the last two season!

Philadephia over Baltimore next year. The Ravens will solve their WR problems this season, Kyle Boller will become a good QB and the Ravens will be great.

I know for a fact, and I don't have to have you fax me anything, that Sporting News did not pick the Patriots to successfully defend their first championship. And if I'm somehow wrong, then they were wrong, which means the first statement I quoted in this post is incorrect.

So which of these statements of yours is inaccurate?

Please let me know which Super Bowl in the last 6 years included a Tampa Bay victory over New England. This says last season. I guess 2 out of 4 championships isn't as impressive for New England.

I'm not so sure they'll keep him for 12 million, if they do I'll be surprised after they let Milloyand Washington go when they demanded more or refused to structure their contract. They seem practical when it comes to the CAP and filling their needs.

For 12 million, they can sign some nice draft pick at lesser money assuming they select well as Pioli and Belichick have consistently done. All their picks seem to contribute one way or another and that's what separates them from other teams. Who'd thought they'd win without 3 of 4 starters out in the secondary?

Pittsburgh may look for a receiver since one of their receivers wants to be traded if he feels he's not more involved in the offense like he would like.

I see Indianapolis back too but maybe they'll let someone go so that they can spend more to shore up their defense.

If I were Philly, I'd draft a receiver and drop a no-show like Mitchell when it comes to the big game.

sptimes?! You might as well have quoted CNN or another grossly liberal media outlet. I have my references at home, so send me your fax number and I'll photocopy tomorrow and I'll fax them to you. Usually S&S lists the prediction right before AFC East.

Either way you slice it chief, the New England Patriots are a dynasty. A DYNASTY!
