ManU 1-0 winners against Arsenal, and that Scholes tackle was horrible. He wasn't even carded for it! From behind? No ball?

What a horrible set of cards dealt to Arsenal. Reyes out 3 weeks, and Freddie Ljungberg out three weeks with a broken hand.

I don't really care about the FA Cup, but these injuries are huge playing up to the CL semi-final at Highbury.

Oh by the way, thanks FA! Thanks for screwing Arsenal to make Newcastle better off. I swear, do you even care about English football? Or just ManU?

It never ceases to amaze me how terribly the FA is run. When I was in London in December for the matches at Highbury I was walking through central London so I noticed that I was close to Soho Square, so I figured I'd walk by to see where the offices of the high and mighty FA are. Strange thing, there's no sign or indication of where they are in Soho Square and I couldn't even find their street address in a particular location. And Soho Square didn't look like a nice part of town. Can't blame them from masking their location, given their bungling. Moving the Newcastle match forward is nothing short of bizarre. Guess they were trying to do England favorite Bobby Robson a favor or something.

If Scholes played for any team but ManU, he likely would have been off.

No treble for Arsenal. But, as far as stories go the downfall of Manchester United will be much more public and humiliating when they lose to Millwall in Cardiff. Millwall gets a spot in next year's UEFA Cup too. Millwall hasn't seen European Cup competition in quite a long time.

I dont' know if anybody read this but i saw that Edu from Arsenal is thinking about becoming an English citizen so he can play for England...

Edu is Brazilian 24 years old and has NEVER played for Brazil...

Edu is better then any US MF by what i would say is a wide margain...the guy is awesome...and he's never played for Brazil...that shows how sick that country is with talent

We just don't have a left footed midfielder. We desperately need him. How long has he been here? I'll take him. It's become evident that players from Brazil are slowly becoming despondent that they will never play internationally in their lifetimes. Desperate to put on a national jersey...any jersey, they're willing to play for other countries. Certain Italians want to play for England or Scotland, and honestly, why not? Adu is a prime example(though he's been here for a while.) Every country does it, we pilfered that one 1500m runner from Morocco right? Same thing here, except the Moroccan runner wasn't in a situation that merited changing citizenship just to run.

England right now has several pressing concerns. Goaltending: James? Defending? Who takes Ferdinand's place? Midfielder? Will Beckham get hurt again? Who is the left-footed midfielder?Striker? Owen and who the effing hell else? Rooney? Inexperienced...can't even score in the EPL. Smith? Despite his amazing goal today, no. Heskey needs to be dropped from the squad, and Sutton should be given a chance to pair with Owen and see what happens?

For the love of God, Sven give Sutton one **** chance!

I disagree with this assertion. While Adu has been here for a while, it's not like he wouldn't have gotten a shot at the Ghanaian national team.

I mean, he's one of those players countries are desperate to give a national team jersey to.

I heard Qatar desperately wanted three players and were willing to sign over the deed to the country in exchange for their services to play on the national team.

And it's been a happy long time, too!

I can't think anyone is expecting Millwall to have any success in Europe next year. Man City made it in this season for the first time in, what, 21 years?, and while they b****-slapped TNS Wales, they barely beat Lokeren and then gave up the ghost at Groclin, losing 1-1...on away goals!?!?!

Besides, I honestly think Millwall would be even less welcomed by Prem fans than City fans are by Nate and Jim.

p.s.: How cool would that be if Tim-may pulls a Porto in Cardiff?

The thing is, of course, 1-0 Arsenal and 0-0 result in the same thing, so that goal doesn't matter a whole lot... a second would, though.

With Chelsea tying it early in the 2nd half, this one is looking like a real cliff-hanger. I think I'd die if it went to penalties, as the Gunners have historically done disastrously when penalties are involved.

And in the other match, Monaco has gone up 2-1 on Real Madrid and only needs two goals to go on aggregate.

Actually Monaco would advance if they score one more goal and Real don't score again, as Monaco would advance based on more away goals.
