Interesting "weekend" January 5-8 with Middlebury at Amherst Friday and Saturday, followed by the 4 game East-West extravaganza Sunday and Monday in Northfield.
Wesly is the team to surprise this year. Apparently a great recruiting class and IMOthe best goalie in the conf.
In no way to disparage Ms. Grant's talents, but there are a number of good goalies in the NESCAC (stats from NESCAC.com):

three best goalies last year were Belinskas, Chester and Grant. Look at their numbers and especially with Grant, you need to look at the team in front of them...Grant made that team respectable. Wesley will be the surprise this year...possible top 5 in the Conf for a perennial cellar-dweller

Look to the end of the NESCAC schedule (March 3 and 4): is that an omen?
LOL....well, when I said 'improved' i really didn't think they would be hosting the nescac finals...but if the dopes, errr rocket scientists running the nescac have decided, then so be it....
It's Blue vs. White at Kenyon this afternoon (women's and men's), and with confidence that rarely accompanies any prediction of results involving NESCAC squads, I predict the Panthers emerge unbeaten!
GOOD LUCK to all parents, players and coaches in the coming season!!!
