Hmmm, seems like an odd time to have been "blasting western folks." Coming off the heels of a decade that saw Point and River Falls win multiple national championships... then Superior in '02... then the beginning of SNC's run.

Whatever. It is true, Middlebury resided in the Eastern region.

As expected, Wisconsin cheesemakers dominate U.S. championship

State cheesemakers had at least one top-three finisher in all but 16 of the categories that included a record 2,303 entries of cheese, yogurt and butter, according to results posted Wednesday by the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association.

The result is similar to that of the World Championship Cheese Contest held a year ago in Madison where state cheesemakers won 127 of the 333 awards, or 38.1 percent of the total.

And it isn't even dyed with orange (some call it yellow) dye (that is called "natural" because it is made from a plant, but it isn't the natural color of the cheese).

We make both yellow and white. Get your facts straight.

It's still orange, and not a natural color for cheese

Ha. Except the judges don't know whose entry is whose when sampling the products...

Besides, wasn't the "biggest moment in Vermont sports history" winning a first-round NCAA basketball game? Pretty sure Wisconsin's not jealous of that...
